A Street Cat Named Bob Reviews
What this movie offers, unlike many other films in cinemas at the moment, is the feel-good factor.
| Oct 8, 2020
Nothing other than a 'woe is me' tale of a drug addict who happened to be offered a second chance - with a few cat puns thrown in.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Mar 14, 2019
A warm if formulaic film. Treadaway offers a measured and thoughtful performance opposite Bob in a role that was probably trickier than it looks. How do you act with a cat? Is it like green screen work where you give your all to an emotional vacuum?
| Original Score: 3/5 | Jan 10, 2019
A feel good movie that will surely touch the hearts of animal lovers everywhere.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Dec 20, 2018
The film is as incredible as the real-life journey that inspired it. Spottiswoode manages to balance the right amount of grit and saccharine.
| Original Score: 5/5 | Aug 30, 2018
Yes, the picture is too cute for its own good - who thought shooting some scenes from the cat's point of view was a good idea? - and the dialogue is not up to much, but its heart is in the right place and it doesn't shy away from tougher subject matter.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Aug 22, 2018
The result is a charming film that makes an admirable attempt at keeping true to its source material.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Dec 26, 2017
I'd have to say it's purr-fectly awful.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Oct 18, 2017
Veteran director Roger Spottiswoode, best known for 'Tomorrow Never Dies' and 'The 6th Day' also has experience with this kind of movie and he handles this story just right by not letting it get too sentimental or melodramatic.
| Original Score: B | May 14, 2017
Bob was a beacon of hope off-screen, and remains the same in the predictable but pleasantly palatable adaptation of his story.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Mar 13, 2017
Spottiswoode keeps the vibe gritty and authentic, which is in itself remarkable for a film about a young man and a cat. Tough and tender, and a massive, welcome February surprise.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Feb 16, 2017
Veteran British director Roger Spottiswoode (Turner & Hooch; Mesmer) doesn't push the cute factor beyond endurance and punches through some points about some of the harsher realities of poverty in modern Britain.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Feb 11, 2017
Veteran director Roger Spottiswoode makes the most of this appealing yarn and has fun showing us a Bob's-eye view of the streets of London.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Feb 10, 2017
The filmmakers do a good job of capturing the precarious reality of life on the streets within the parameters of a PG rating.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Feb 10, 2017
This is one of those unfailingly nice, middle-of-the-road movies that always has its heart in the right place, even if its head is sometimes elsewhere.
| Original Score: 2.5/5 | Feb 8, 2017
you can't squawk at a film which keeps Bob the Cat in close ups long enough to make you feel he's a friend.... not just a star
| Feb 5, 2017
A heartwarming drama which manages to land on its feet.
| Original Score: 14/20 | Feb 4, 2017
This dramatization... plays like a Hallmark Hall of Fame 온라인카지노추천 movie, touching lightly on serious social issues before turning into a Cinderella story.

While the humans in "A Street Cat Named Bob" do a fine job in their roles, the star of the film is....(drum roll) Bob.
| Original Score: B | Jan 12, 2017
Depending on your feeling towards felines, this is the sort of film that you'll either find dangerously mawkish or utterly charming.
