Absolutely does not deserve the 5% tomatometer. It's one of the best bad movies I've ever seen. Right up there with The Accountant and The Mummy. In more practical terms, the fight choreography is really good featuring HS wrestling, bjj and good striking. It's clear Taylor is actually good at martial arts, and that adds to it for me a lot.

I actually liked Abduction. The acting isn’t the best, but the alchemy between Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins is great. I really enjoyed the timeline of events, lots of action and fighting scenes which I loved. The plot takes place in Pittsburgh, which I think is such an underrated city for movies.

I think people not to stop with the negativity. The movie was nice and Taylor deserves more roles.

Don't know why everybody is dissing this. Sure, it is a popcorn-movie, but a good one. I had fun at the theater!

I don't know whether I should be ashamed for liking this film or not. There's absolutely nothing new here that you haven't already seen (assuming you've been consuming a basic diet of Hollywood mainstream movies for the last two decades like I have). Abduction is about a boy Taylor Lautner (from Twilight fame) who discovers he is suddenly on the run from a group of baddies (you know the type - foreign accents, plenty of disposable henchmen and can only shoot bottles when firing machine guns at a teenager). Um, that's about it really. Taylor gets chased here, Taylor gets chased there, hooks up with a pretty young girl with big eyebrows along the way - that sort of thing. However, Abduction's big difference is that, instead of an adult being hunted by baddies who can't shoot straight (or overpower a fifteen year old), it's the afore-mentioned fifteen year old. And, baring in mind that there's minimal violence (defined by a lack of the red stuff when people get shot), this film is largely aimed at mid teens. It has plenty of pop culture references to Lady Gaga and Facebook that will amuse their generation. I couldn't really think of anything wrong with it. Okay, I've seen it all before and it ticks all boxes. It's not a classic, but it's entertaining enough. If you haven't seen this type of sinister-conspiracy-CIA-chase-type-film before, you'll probably love it and give it 5/5 (or just someone from `Team Jacob'). If however, you grew up collecting the original Star Wars toys and can remember when Transformers had nothing to do with Michael Bay, you may feel like it's Beverly Hills 90210 mixed with Jason Bourne and your score will be more around the 3/5 mark. Maybe I'm just a child at heart. I actually appreciated it for a piece of silly, chase-orientated action entertainment. Plus it had Sigourney Weaver in it - and Ripley rocks. Give it a go. There's worse out there (Michael Bay, are you reading this?)

If you're not going into this movie to satisfy a hunger for Taylor Lautner left from the rejection of his character in Twilight, don't bother with this movie. Team Jacob fans, like myself, are catered to with a steamy make-out scene and a few scantily clad shots of, uh... what was the lead's name again? Although Lautner's shoulders may be big and burly, he is simply incapable of carrying a film on them. As for non-Twihards, all this movie offers is 106 minutes of mediocre spy mystery/thriller brain rot which is neither mysterious nor thrilling. The only thing saving this film is the general Taylor Lautner-ness of it all.

Roteiro e enredo tudo mediano. Vale apena assistir? Se for fã de alguns dos protagonistas? Que fazem uma interpretação ruim. Nota: 5,5

Bland and forgettable. Below average discount bin movie

I will admit I only got about 10 minutes into this movie. The main character was such an a-hole and jerk I could care less what happened to him. The acting was extremely mediocre and the fight scene with his father was extended Beyond belief. This looks like it would only be interesting to someone 16 and under.

To be fair, I only dislike the 1st 20 minutes of the movie. But from the practice fight from the father and son (Taylor Lautner) and further on that is when it got good. Overall it is still a good movie.

Great movie but i don't think anyone was abducted?

This film tried to be too many things at once. An espionage, drama, and romantic film and almost ends up being none of them. Its cast is underutilized. It's also longer than it needs to be. In spite of its glaring flaws, I found it entertaining enough to keep me invested.

Abduction is definitely a must-see movie for teens and any Taylor Lautner fans. For myself, being in my early 30's , I was excited to see some older big-name actors, such as Sigourney Weaver(Alien, Avatar), Maria Bello(Coyote Ugly, Grown Ups) and Swedish Actor Michael Nyqvist(John Wick, Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol) but, found it wasn't a good match with the younger cast.

I really enjoyed the film and I'm not even a fan of Taylor Lautner
