Afflicted Reviews
Fun little twist on the found footage genre that goes quite off the rails in a good, yet weird way.
Vampires are OK but you add that first person video style? Man, that's way too much pressure for any fan to tolerate both of these. Yeah, it's a bit cheezy - I guess they liked it that way? Not not the worst thing I've seen.... It had some good moments, mostly just what you would expect moments. RECOMMENDATION: If you can find/watch for free, I'd recommend. Otherwise; don't pay money for it.
If you are a fun of the found-footage genre, you should watch this one as well. The plot is pretty straight-forward , nothing special but the directing of the film is pretty good and realistic. I just believe that it could be a lot better plot wise.
Rating: 7/10. 78/100
I usually don't like found footage horror movies. But this one is actually quite entertaining. It will certainly be a delight for the fans of the genre.
An above-average found footage film with some quality body horror and less than quality acting. It won't wow the film buff with it's nuance and subtlety, but it will help you laze out on the couch on a Saturday.
Afflicted is a terrifying little film. The problem is it's a bit small, and could have done more, but the story and shocks it give bring a sheer nervousness you should feel watching a horror film, where you feel like the problem is happening to you. And then, when it wraps up, it gives enough of a scary uncomfortable feeling.
Watch this movie if you enjoy found footage horror flicks. This one stands out. I am very picky about my horror movies, so I researched it to make sure it did not have a crappy ending. I wish I hadn't. I highly recommend watching it without knowing anything about it.
The first 2 acts...zzzzzz...the last 30 mins was better, but that's not saying much. What they did at the very end during the credits was the best thing about the movie 馃槕
If you are a fan of found-footage, you should watch this. Super well done. The acting is a little off sometimes but the story and creepiness keeps you hooked.
An interesting concept for a found-footage film, it does however get a bit hard to follow towards the end.
This movie triggered my brother so much that he had me turn it off. Now that is a MOOD.
Very interesting film. It certainly ticks all the boxes for me. Although the "found-footage" genre has become generic and stale, this one is still worth checking out.
Its an interesting movie but theres nothing scary about it. The acting is ok at best. The plot is great.
Audience reviewers take note. This is the horror movie not the Netflix series. Why one can鈥檛 trust Flixster reviews. Solid 鈥渇ound footage鈥 horror film that rises above what you鈥檇 expect.
This show doesn't even deserve half a star. It grossly misrepresents the lives of the "afflicted," and cuts out key information for the sake of a "more interesting" story, all while making a mockery of chronic illnesses, making those of us with ones seem less credible.
This "documentary" does enormous damage to those who suffer with diseases that western medicine does not yet understand. It is shameful
