Ethan R I'm an avid fan of the Animal Crossing universe, and I still fondly recall the joy and warmth the Animal Crossing movie brought me. With its charming character design and heartening storyline, it left a lasting impression, immersing me in the enchanting world of Animal Crossing. There is no denying that the movie has become a significant part of not only me but also many others' lives, embodying nostalgia and comfort. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/25 Full Review Alec B Animal Crossing: The Movie (Gekijōban Dōbutsu no Mori in Japanese) is a charming adaptation that is crafted almost identically to the Game Cube/Nintendo DS Animal Crossing gameplay. With its colorful animation, sounds, and conversation styles between characters, it eerily captures the essence of the Nintendo game series. The plot is relatively basic and low-stakes, but intense fans of the Animal Crossing games will enjoy it. The animated film follows new villager Ai as she explores "animal village", making deliveries, meeting new animal friends, and working through deliveries for Tom Nook...the same RPG activities that a player would go through. Fun fact: fans can either watch the series with English subtitles, or find a well-done fan fub that exists online. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
