Arbitrage Reviews
Really could have been a great movie but talk about loose ends, damn.
Good performances. Terrible story. Rich white dude exploits the world and wins? Puke.
'Arbitrage' was one of the most disappointing films I’ve seen in a long time. The entire storyline felt hollow, overly focused on greed, and failed to deliver any meaningful resolution. The narrative keeps you on edge but ultimately leads nowhere. We’re expected to sympathize with a billionaire who never truly cared about his family until it threatened his public image. To make matters worse, the film portrays law enforcement in a negative light and glorifies moral compromises, suggesting that preserving wealth and reputation outweighs doing what’s right. A dry, unsatisfying watch from start to finish.
great performances by richard gere susan surandon and tim roth but the dude got away with it what the heck didnt like the ending
Good movie with excellent acting and lots of suspense. Will he or won't he? It keeps you wondering. There, are so many mediocre movies available, it's refreshing to see something worth watching. Definitely recommend this one.
Great movie. Great characters. This movie is on Tubutv.com. Also, I searched Rotten Tomatoes for MANY movies that were streaming on Tubi, so I can understand them, and see ratings, prior to viewing. You are CHEATING the public when you show movies and shows streaming sites that are pay only. That is a true shame. Why would you not include Tubitv?
Good acting. Pretty good story. Why did they have to give Tim Roth an American accent? It was a major distraction and totally unnecessary.
Same Richard Gere cheating crap. It was a boring movie and I don't recommend it to anyone with marriage vow morals. The guy Richard Gere is playing is scum of the earth and a lying cheat. Movies like this just rub me the wrong way!
one of better Richard Gere films.

Oh... it's one of those movies.... ok
Fantastic thriller movie from start to finish
Tensely directed with an astonishing layered performance from the lead, Richard Gere showcases a range of skill that can only come from a veteran's experience.
good tense drama. One of the best Richard Gere performances.
Really?? The cops not only move this fast in solving crimes, but they have nothing else to do but spend all of these incredible man hours, over a couple of days period of time, to catch Richard Gere. Not even close to being plausible which absolutely destroys any credibility this movie had a chance of having. And that's not even counting the outrage of his daughter who, shockingly here, after working for him for many years, finds out he works buying and selling companies, And....... he's not completely honest!!!
This light thriller directed by Nicholas Jarecki was engaging when I watched it, but hasn't persisted in my memory a month down the line. If you're looking for compelling content about the potentially shady actions of a rich man, watch 'The Jinx' by Nicholas' brother Andrew instead.
With a direction that holds you from beginning to end ´´Arbitrage´´ brings good performances and a great story about a great investor who ends up finding a loophole to get out of bankruptcy.
Be patient. 2nd half gets WAY better.
Absolutely, I've mentioned Arbitrage before, but I re-watched it this week to check that I was correct the first time in praising this film to the hilt. As usual, I was right. Arbitrage is a joy, and although no one plays Richard Gere better than Richard Gere, he still finds ways of keeping you gripped to the screen in what in anyone else's hands, you feel wouldn't anywhere near as confident in. Not sure if that sentence makes sense but hopefully you know what I mean. Gere plays Robert Miller, a hugely successful business tycoon whose world begins to fall apart when he falls asleep at the wheel of a car, resulting in the death of his mistress. It's terrific.
Although it doesn’t break any molds, it’s very well done and is gripping throughout. Superb cast.
