What in the B movie鈥檚 cthulhu did I just watch? Although I can appreciate some of this film鈥檚 plot, visuals, and sonic landscape, I think at some point the main actress, Elza Gonz谩lez, along with the audience, were questioning the validity of the production. The team had an opportunity to make this movie insightfully mysterious and psychological, like a slow burn mixed with genuine indie experimentation, but instead it falls into some really basic tropes that have already been done better (i.e. 鈥淟ife鈥�, 鈥淎lien: Romulus鈥�) with writing and pacing that doesn鈥檛 deserve much past the 1:30 minutes mark. I presume the budget wasn鈥檛 extensive and could possibly be the main driver that hindered this film鈥檚 wellbeing, you can see where it was trying to take concepts but just didn鈥檛 seem to have the means to do so in a satisfying manner. Frankly, I鈥檝e seen movies with smaller budgets able to do so. Two stars for effort and an additional half-star for adding some degree of originality and pizzazz that unfortunately gets derailed by poor direction and execution.

So bad I found myself rooting for the alien. This film literally made me want to end humanity. I wish I鈥檇 never watched this

The movie at first has a little something from Event Horizon with the gruesome flashbacks, so you think you鈥檙e in for a good ride. But that鈥檚 a mistake. The main grows more annoying with every minute passing and Aaron Paul seems to a forgotten how to act, if he ever knew. The story goes nowhere, it鈥檚 litterally just the girl refusing to leave. That movie was 1h30 minutes I鈥檒l never get back and could have been an email.

Amazing lighting, score, and sound design. Visuals, set, costumes, and special effects were all awesome, especially for a lowkey movie with, what I assume was, a relatively small budget. Acting range was lacking, although the two main characters did a decent enough job. The story was slightly derivative and a bit confusing in some unexplained instances (what was up with the Band-Aids on her neck?), but the other aspects of the movie made up for the less-than-immaculate screenplay.

I thought this was an amazing movie, and it was actually scary. I seen many people give it 1 start or 1/10 but their reasons are just dumb like the plot doesn't make sense I thought it made perfect sense you just have to watch the full movie. They also said it didnt have emotion which is completely wrong i thought it had a lot, then they just started roasting the actor for the protagonist. the movie was a 10/10

Honestly, how are people recommending this film, quite possibly the worst sci fo movie I've seen .

Not even 1 star, not good at all this film is a copy of Dead Space but bad.

I am a huge fan of psychological space thrillers. I can鈥檛 get enough of them and so I am the prime target audience for this film. Unfortunately, however, this film was a steaming pile. Average acting held back by bad writing, bad pacing, and boring plot points and twists. I believe the story had several plot holes but I honestly didn鈥檛 even care enough to think about them because the overall story was so generic and so dull and so unexciting and poorly executed. People have compared this to The Thing, but it is nowhere in that ballpark. The space suits that they wear and the visual design is pretty cool but that鈥檚 about as much as I can give it.

There was a lot to like in this film wasn't so keen on the ending thou really like the design of the space suites and aliens really cool I don't know what made that woman so special she got to live predictable the way the last alien monster was I really like the thing so that was cool but it didn't make sense in this film I'll give it 4 because I did enjoy it but there were a few things to point out

Not worth the money, if you must see it wait for it to be free. The plot, special effects, and acting are subpar. For the true movie fans out there don't waste your money or time.

Directed by Flying Lotus, Ash is a visually arresting film that blends science fiction and horror in a uniquely unsettling way. Eiza Gonz谩lez and Aaron Paul deliver strong performances as astronauts facing a mysterious and deadly force. The film鈥檚 dreamlike atmosphere and ambiguous narrative may not be for everyone, but those willing to embrace its unconventional approach will find a deeply immersive experience.

This sucked so bad that I'm actually embarrassed for Flying Lotus. It should never have even been released, it's that poor. Don't believe me? Watch it and try and stay awake. I dare you.

I saw this advertised on Prime & I watched it for another Aaron Paul movie but was hoping for a sci-fi story to blow my mind. Unfortunately the story was slow to start and there was no real character development, to me there were only two characters in this movie. The ending was nothing special & the gross effects (I'm glad I managed to watch the 'Bones series' tbh) I was so looking forward to this but was let down as it didn't reel me in in the first 5-10 minutes, but I toughed it out.

Slow paced and boring. Actors seemed disinterested and the central mystery was never a mystery. Not much spent on special effects and i will never know why they thought they could get away with the unfortunate haircut of the second girl. Proof that putting a beautiful girl in the main role does not help the movie in of it self if she cant act. Did I mention that the film was slow and boring?

Basically an old school low budget SciFi horror movie. It's pretty painful to watch but if you are someone who's into the "so bad that it's good" vibe, you might find something to like. There is nothing original however.

I can't understand the positive reviews for what amounts to little more than a derivative tv-movie complete with b grade dialog and even worse acting. Mindboggling. I could barely finish it but did so out of spite and my own stubborn hope that a 3rd act pay off could save it, but nope.
