August Rush Reviews
This is a thoughtful and awesome movie. A must see. Loved it from beginning to end. Likely one of the best movies in my lifetime. This will cause you to rethink music - as it is all around you. Robin Williams is a supporting actor / does a great job. Freddie is in a zone, Terrific performance. I watched it 10 times on a weekend. Watched it by myself. Called my wife in and watched it again. Went to my son’s house watched it again. Went to grandmas watched it again. If anyone asks me about a great family movie, this is #1, in my book. Good music, writing, music, and actors with a solid story end to end. A joyful movie in every dimension. This is a must see - although just as good if you listen and close your eyes.
One of my favorite movies of all time. The acting for me was perfect in the sense of it’s supposed to feel real; like it’s happening in a moment that the rest of the world isn’t aware of. I’m not sure why so many show lack of interest to this movie. I believe it’s because so many are use to over the top acting when everyone’s face has to match the energy in the room. Not all individuals are like that in reality and even though to me they all did a wonderful job this musical genius was the best actor of them all.
Well played, awesome script. Hell of music score
A dreadfully idiotic film that misunderstands as much about music as it does basic human behavior. Love is more important and complex than a longing gaze, music is very much a byproduct of the human brain, and genius does not simply emerge from a vacuum.
This is by far my favorite movie of all time. Yet another instance showing how out of touch the critics are with people's thoughts and reality. This is such a wonderful tale about the triumph of hope and love as well as the transcendence of music. I have watched this film many times and have yet to not cry. It's a particularly enjoyable movie for the musically inclined, but even if you're not, the plot is strong enough to stand on its own. I would recommend this movie to anyone at all. There is something in it for all of us.
im tryinna get keri russell to rush jonathan rhys meyers again in august
My favorite movie of all time Absolutely loved this one, the drama, the romance, the music, everything (even if it's rushed)
Como eu adoro este filme, acho de uma doçura.
This is one of my top three favorite movies of all time.
Music is all around Us, but this time it doesn't catch so much.
A good movie, and I enjoyed the plot. The directing seemed off as did some of the acting, but if you just sit back and take it for what the storyline is trying for, it is a very entertaining movie.
This is my favorite movie .
Honestly this is one of my most favorite movies. It still brings tears to my eyes. I loved it so much I named my dog kennel after it. Clearly you can see by the ratings you should not listen to the experts.
One of my favorite movies. I don’t understand the critics. It’s a heartfelt movie for just you or you and the whole family.
Amazing music, fairy tale plot. It's about love that transcends space and time.
Sappy, predictable, and borderline absurd, August Rush has little more to offer than cute, forced sentiment. That may work for some people but not me.
Love this drama full of hope
Wonderful film, touching, fantastic performances and the music!
I'm not crying, you're crying! If you have a shred of creativity within you and occasionally fall victim to a level of fantastical romance that most of us will never experience, this movie will move and delight you.
LOVE this movie. How could the critics give it such low ratings? It's beautifully done: great story, the acting is outstanding and the sounds and music…wow.
