Await Further Instructions Reviews
This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The characters are written so paper-thin they don't deserve to be called stereotypes or caricatures. The acting is uniformly bad. The plot is so stupid. The effects are awful. Save your time. Watch anything...*ANYTHING* else.
1 1/2 hours that I will never get back…….should have stuck with my original plan of ironing my shirts or watching paint dry!
Without question one of the worst films I've ever seen. Whoever wrote the script for this must have had a lobotomy. The characters are so generic it's farcical. How do films like this ever get made? Who looked at this trash and thought "yeah sounds like a hit to me"? Everyone associated with this film should be embarrassed, because that's what everything about this film is…. An embarrassment.
Almost unbelievably prophetic film predicting the thing that arrived on earth in 2020 and showing the psychological and spiritual forces at work. Part incredibly accurate predictions of what was to come in terms of lockdown and if not forced, at least coerced vaccinations and unquestioned obedience to the perceived authority of the media and part allegory showing the relentless psychic attack that we came under in the period 2020 to the present. Obviously an uncomfortable truth hard for many to swallow is contained in this amazing film.
Mostly uninteresting characters with a slow buildup for little payout. Plenty of mystery that had no real purpose or satisfying resolution. A fairly forgettable film.
An ok yuletide brit horror. Atleast a back story on the monster would be more than ok.
Having excellent character dynamics, a subversive and creative take on the home invasion premise and masses of terrifying moments, Await Further Instructions is as wild as it is entertaining.
A family is trapped inside their own house on Christmas night, while instructions from the Government are being broadcasted on live 온라인카지노추천. The tension between the family members escalates to unexpected moments of violence as they start turning against each other. "Await Further Instructions" bets all the cards on two horror layers: claustrophobia and paranoia. But it never succeeds in infecting the audience with these symptoms!
An allegory for the public at large's perception of the world based on what Media presents to us. Yes it is a cautionary tale about blindly obeying authority and allowing our prejudices to shape our thoughts. Some of the acting is a little rough for sure. And some of the acting is over the top but, that is the point that this story. There are real people in our society that are as ignorant or willing to behave as obedient lemmings as we saw in this film. Far from a perfect movie but, enjoyable for what is was.
I'm seeing that this was made in 2018, so I guess I would be wrong in thinking this was an allegory for the pandemic (unless they knew something before everyone else). Of course, I have to take a lot of points off for how cheap this film is. I don't think everyone's behavior in the beginning was all that believable, either. But I appreciate the moral of the story. And they were so on-the-nose, too, naming them the Milgram family who live on Stanford Lane, lol!!! So blunt with the messaging. This concept really has the potential to be elevated to high art. It wasn't accomplished here, but someone should definitely take up the challenge.
The people who didn't like this flick must be part of the "HERD". The message was obvious for most of us, the others musta totally missed the point lol I can see how Joe Biden got elected by the audiance score of this movie. smh
A complete waste of time. An unlikely Yuletide family reunion of various members with utterly cliche dysfunctions, is imprisoned in their house by a mysterious black substance and told, via their television, to "await further instructions". Until the film's climax (and I use the dramatic term loosely), this circumstance appears to be little more than a lame plot device to "explain" an never-ending parade of the above mentioned dysfunction. Truly, this turkey is a contender for my top ten worst movies of all time. "Plan 9 From Outer Space" was more watchable.
I think it was well done. Never meant to be able to truly understand what happened. The father character portrays well the sheep mentality of following blindly anything perceived authority says. And while some of it lies outside the realm of plausibility I think that was the point to portrait in extreme fashion. Although is it really outside the realm of possibility. Think of history and how many people followed blindly to do horrible things. Good flick if you can get your mind wrapped around it.
Terrible waste of time. All of the characters are extremely irritable and annoying, most of the bad stuff that happens to them in the movie didn't make me feel bad for them. The acting is awful, the plot is even worse and gives you no insight to the true case or reason of the movie by the end of the movie. If you have an hour and a half of free time just go outside or something, do not watch this movie.
Far from "perfect," but with enough very good elements to make it worth the effort! Watch this space: Await further instructions!
Low budget with bad acting, bad twists and incredible bad choices for how to end it. Don't waste your time.
Waste of potential. Fantastic idea. The whole movie builds up this mystery but when it's finally revealed it just seems downright stupid and nonsensical. It just left me with more questions.
