Barney's Great Adventure Reviews
I grew up with this movie, and even for the criticism and hate it tends to get, being that film was released before my fourth birthday, I loved it, and loved watching Barney with my grandma when I was little. As gross as this may sound in a lot of opinions, my favorite part of the moive is when Barney diapers baby Fig, yet I don't how it was decided to have Fig, pee but not show the pee pee, or Barney wipe, or Fig cry, beyond just his little, "Eh" he cried after Barney said, "After we get this old, wet diaper off of you, you'll feel much better." I would have liked to have seen Barney give the baby a hug and / or a kiss, instead of just putting him back in his crib. I think the diaper change scene could have been and would having been cuter if the baby was diapered on a changing table instead of inside his crib. I'm perfectly fine with Barney, changing the baby, but would have liked to have seen the grandma diaper the baby instead, of Barney. For me, it's not matter of gender stereotypes, but as a traditionalist I like the idea of more traditional roles. Though I'm not inherently against men or dads changing diapers. In conclusion, Barney's Great Adventure holds a special place in my heart, evoking cherished memories of watching it with my grandma. Despite its criticisms, I appreciate the film for its light-hearted fun and the joy it brought to my childhood. The diaper change scene, while unique, left me wishing for a bit more warmth, like a hug or a kiss from Barney, and perhaps a more traditional approach with Grandma involved. Ultimately, it's a film that reminds me of the simple joys of childhood, and for that, I will always love it.
Cinematography and design is OK...but what else can I say about this film ? Its not just unoriginal , its just plain, boring, and forgettable .
This movie is so horrible, that words can't even describe this monstrosity of a film.
It's not that bad of a film. However, it can get boring and annoying at some parts.
My Rating: 2/10 (Terrible)
I remember seeing this movie as a kid and it's not that bad. Not only that I hope this movie will turn into a fantastic Broadway show. Because this movie has some serious drama and serious dance moves that will be perfect for this movie being turned into a stage musical. Plus this movie has comedy done right. Even the peaking duck trick in the circus scene is really funny.
It's relaxing and enjoyable to anyone in the whole family to watch. Even this movie from my childhood has been a part of it.
As the Nostalgia Critic pointed out, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone above the age of 3 who unironically loves Barney the Dinosaur and that's mostly 'cause of the points he makes in his video. While this is a harmless adventure, it's a disgustingly harmless one with everything bein' insultingly babyish. Yes, I know, it's called "Barney's Great Adventure," what did I except? But even children deserve better than this. I do like the more cynical boy before he goes through "character development," though, if only because he represents the state of mind of the reluctant parents and older siblings dragged into watchin' this disaster. It brings you exactly what you think you're gonna get and now, I'll make it a point to distance myself from this movie as much as possible.
Elmo In Grouchland is better than this & Magic Railroad
It was wonderful. His first feature film really touched my heart and this film in the end that really makes me wanna cry. I love his first movie, one of my childhood favorites.
Loved it as a kid, I think kids will enjoy it. Sure, it's stupid and dumb but hey at least it's entertaining and way more entertaining than something like Sid The Science Kid
Barney's Great Adventure is Super Dee Duper and it's way better than all of the other Children's Movies!!! *Barney laugh.*
I've grown up watching Barney and when I saw this'l film for the first time I couldn't get enough of it. I think the story is perfect for kids, the scenes we're well filmed, and the location was simply gorgeous, especially that beautiful farm. I'm just sorry that the world didn't see it that way. Don't let your kids grow up without them meeting this stuuupendious flick. Even though Barney's eyes were questionable.
It may not have very much action. But it's still a very entertaining timeless filled with Catchy songs, loads of comedy, beautiful visuals, and very loveable characters
Love or hate Barney from 1988-present Barney has reached his peak in children's television I understand most parents do like Barney's messages but it's about the kids generation to generation which is why he like Sesame Street will never be unrecognized give the purple tree his credit yes he's legendary
Barney's Great Adventure took my wife and made me attend their wedding as Barney's best man. It was our anniversary. Im signing the divorce papers with my right hand and writing this review with my left. My life has not known peace since this movie stared me in the eyes with its youtube jpeg quality. Im crying.
