Interesting look into Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren's maybe most influential part of her life. Terrific performance by Alba August playing Astrid.

Wonderful movie with great performances. Really interesting to learn about Astrid's life and the hardships she faced. It was bittersweet in that it was hard to see her strained relationships and how they affected her. I was a little disappointed that it didn't touch on how she became a writer, but I think that was intended. The lead actress was wonderful.

The soundtrack, the story, and the acting were beautiful and complex, compelling and understated.

Superb film about what shaped the young girl - Astrid, to become the beloved children's books writer - Astrid Lwindgren. Superbly written and directed. Awesome acting by Alba August in the main role.

This is SUCH a good movie. It’s rated pg13 but I wouldn’t let anyone under 16 watch it. But it’s a beautiful, wonderful story and the song at the end is awesome.

Best movie I have seen for awhile, 9/10.

I'm sure critics love this movie, however in all my years of seeing movies, this was the first time I fell asleep in a movie theater.
