What's so noticeable about this one for me vs the original and yes the original was very atmospheric, colorful, and very well directed. This is not well directed so much as "noticably" directed. The camerawork is like John Frankenheimer shot this. The style works for very surreal stories but this really isn't a surreal story. So it comes across as obnoxious and distracting. The lighting in this feels like I'm watching a 70's fever dream. The lighting just comes across as bizarre and surreal. Not atmospheric in the slightest. The acting is just terrible. The villian is stupid and way too over the top. None of the girls really are that likeable, most are forgettable, blend in, and at best are ok. The editing & pacing isn't good here. It's like a whodunit mixed with a slasher kind of but fails because all the backstory we get on the killer is obviously a fakeout so it doesn't really make sense. We jump between the killer backstory, the different girls, and the fact it divides them up all the time makes this very jumpy. The kills aren't even that creative either. Gone is any of the clever script, direciton, and atmosphere for a "modern" take on the material. Skip this. A terrible remake.

As mortes, antes sugeridas no original, aqui são bem mais gore, sendo que o assassino sufoca as suas vítimas com um plástico e lhes arranca os olhos, aumentando a mitologia do assassino. Enquanto o original investia mais no suspense, neste remake é o terror que impera. A construção da história de Billy toma ares meio perturbadores, sem necessidade, como a mãe violentar o filho, porque o seu atual namorado é um alcoólatra que dorme durante o ato sexual, e Billy cometer canibalismo. Mas mesmo com esses exageros, este filme pode não chegar perto do original, mas cumpre a sua tarefa.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, gostei das cenas de mortes no filme só isso salvou o filme por que o roteiro do em volta do assassino é ruim, no final a garota estava no hospital junto com a amiga o assassino voltou mata a amiga da garota principal e depois a garota pegou um par de transmissor cardíaco que dá choque e deu na cara do assassino, só quando ela ia escapar apareceu outro assassino e foi atrás dela e depois a garota derrubou o segundo assassino em uma árvore se natal gigante lá em baixo matando o segundo assassino, com tudo isso, eu achei mais ou menos esse filme. Eu não recomendo esse filme. Só pelas mortes que salvaram o filme.

This is definitely my favorite of the franchise! I hate how everyone jumped on the bandwagon of bashing this movie. Without comparing it to the original, It is a fun over the top gorefest with a pretty good back story of the killer. I watch this one every Christmas season!

If you told me that this was a high school project that accidentally got made into a “real” movie, I’d believe you. The acting, the script, the plot…all painfully bad.

A remake slasher movie for all seasons.

This movie is the worst horror movie I have ever seen. It takes all the things that made the original such a good christmas horror movie, plactic wrap on face, sex, and the phone calls, and doses them in such a bad way. The only thing that was good in this movie was that the phone calls was kinda creepy. But I would not recommend this yo eneyone. But no affect to the cast I have herd that they are really nice

This movie shooked me.. for a 2006 movie, it is quite disturbing. The deaths are horrifying, violent, and gorey, the acting and the screams are great . I have not seen a good horror christmas movie in a long time, and generally, it's a good horror well. This was a good time and I'm glad I spent 1 hour and 32 minutes to watch this movie. This movie is criminally underrated.

🍀 3.4/10 My ADHD has hit to Max with this one. I really cannot tell any of these characters apart. There is no personality here I will say it is gory but it gets to an excessive point where it's not really fun anymore and we're just like OK. I like Billy‘s character though. I love how they're just running away from a life-size Lego mini-figure. Grade C-

I actually stuck around to the end of this one, mostly because it was at least more slickly produced than the original and I knew more of this cast from other movies. Still... not a good film. Watched for free on VUDU with commercials. That's a fair price for this one.

Nope. Couldn't keep watching it, ended it after 20 minutes. trashy comedic slasher fests are quite boring to me - but if thats what u look for you won't fail with this one. I'm still on the lookout for some more serious & sophisticated Christmas horror. (Heard the original and newer remake are better. Maybe give those a try.)

Man this is a terrible movie - I had to go to wikipedia to figure out what was going on. Did Billy breaking out of prison take place in the past? On the one hand the murders are occuring - on the other 'billy' is breaking out of prison - so who is doing the killings? Why do we need such a complicated plot? I bought this by mistake on Amazon prime thinking it was the original which is fantastic. This one is a waste of time. If they wanted a surprise ending then the murders should not have started until Billy was out of prison - then we could all think Billy was doing the murders - but no - they had to have this stupid plot - having 2 really bad killers - one on the way. I don't get it. I hated it.

Inoffensive and workmanlike enough to be a passable. This 2000's rendition is plagued with tonal messiness, some cartoonish Evil Dead-esque violence and unintentionally mutes some of it's potential scares.

When I was a kid, the commercial for this movie used to come on 온라인카지노추천 and scare me so bad I'd have to leave the room. Now I'm an adult watching it for the first time and it sucks. It's just a cheesy mid-2000s horror movie.

Una de las mejores recreaciones de filmes retro, esta película supera bastante a su predecesora mejorando bastante la trama original. Tiene muy buenas actrices, una excelente producción y buena dirección. Lo mejor es que a diferencia de la película original, aquí explican el pasado de Billy aclarando cosas que la película original no hizo como que significaban las llamadas telefónicas. En el film original se mencionaba a Agnes y a Billy, pero nunca se dejó en claro que significaba eso. En esta película se aclara esa duda y lo responde muy bien a través de los flashbacks sobre la dura infancia de Billy. Carece un poco del suspenso de la Black Christmas original, pero aun así esta película es una digna sucesora de aquella cinta y por eso la califico con un 9/10.
