Black Knight Reviews
Bro I sit. Understand the hate - I loved it as a kid and just rewatched it with my 16 and 14 year old we laughed the whole time. Is it lazy sure but if you just enjoy the laughs you’ll have a good time. It’s no Martin Scorsese film. But neither is a Sandler film. Sit have fun enjoy
Very funny movie, and the story is also good and interersting.
At first a bit amusing and then what worked quickly dissolves into tedium and the film becomes laborious to watch
The movie was mid because the plot was useless.Him thinking for that long before talking to a girl he likes
Ignore the critics. It's a cozy comedy with good acting despite cheap set designs.
Awful, cliché, bad acting, boring and vulgar. Pass!
OMG!! This is my favorite movie- a must see! I first saw it on when I was having a really bad day and it cheered me up. I couldn't stop laughing. Just sit down and laugh and laugh. SO GOOD
Not as magical as his better flicks but it's a distraction no less
LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 35 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starring Martin Lawrence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 35 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The premise could have been really funny but the execution is a wreak.
It's Bad. The Main Problem besides the stupid camera angles and terrible jokes is this is a STUPID plot. This shouldn't have been made into a movie, this is just a dumb idea. The acting is atrocious, Martin Lawrence doesn't even have a character he's just playing himself basically and not putting his own charm or spin on a character. The supporting cast is just ok. The medieval setting is actually not half bad honestly with some creative sets and some action scenes are actually decent but this is edited together in a way that makes it feel like its a Lawrence stand up skit and a medieval drama and does not know how to make the two work together. And that leads to the pacing being terrible right out of the gate. This lacks any charm or wit. Even if your a Lawrence fan skip this, it's not worth sitting through the dumb story to get one laugh every 30 minutes.
An enjoyable underrated comedy from martin Lawrence where he accidentally stumbles back in a medieval time period and must learn to think of others than of himself.
This is one of my alltime favorite comedy movies. I was shocked to find out how bad the audience score is. It is no surprise however, how bad the critics score is, as the general audience and critics don't exactly see eye to eye anyway. It has a great cast and lead. It's packed with slap-stick humor, silly clash-of-culture jokes and a compelling rivalry between Lawrence and the King's son. Aside from all the silliness, the plot is solid, too. It's not a must-watch for adults, but as a child I probably watched it 10 - 20 times. If you're looking for a fun movie to put on for your kids, definitely give this one a whirl. The german dub is top-notch as well.
One of my favourite movies ever. First watched as a kid many years ago, and im still re-watching as an adult. I have no idea why the reviews are so bad. Honestly worth watching. Seriously DO NOT MISS OUT!
I don't even remember this movie coming out at all. Didn't even know it existed until I saw it on Amazon & decided to watch it while doing the laundry. It did have some good laughs in it. Cheap fare, but I did not feel I wasted my time at the very least.
This movie had a full 3 screenwriters, an intriguing premise and a funny leading man who hadn't yet ruined his reputation with Big Mommas 3. It's astonishing that they didn't make a funnier movie than what this ended up being, and that they spent $50M on the final product. They seemed to have exclusively used jokes written in the year 1328 so as to fit with the setting of the movie and even fumbled what should've been some incredibly easy material with the anachronistic song & dance routine. They put more effort into providing a shaky plotline for the 14th century than they did the jokes even though anyone paying to see this would've preferred the opposite. My wife and I did laugh a few times throughout the movie but the only interesting thing to me was how very obvious it was when they used a stunt double for Martin.
An urban "Just Visiting" While Lawrence is a good comedic actor, he was not the right cast for this film. Nostalgic, but it also is filled with early 2000s cliché gags
The funniest Medieval comedy ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
