Cameron H Crater is a heartwarming, family friendly sci-fi adventure film about a group of kids who live on a lunar mining colony. They discover a mysterious crater and decide to explore it. This film has a great, positive message about courage and friendship. The cast gave good performances, the visuals were great and excelled as capturing the vastness of space. It's nothing out of this world (...), though what Kyle Patrick Alvarez & Co. managed to create here does the job, in my eyes anyway. A decent plot is held together well by good acting, solid music and serviceable effects. There are naturally some issues, most notably the arguments between the characters are a bit forced/overly dramatic. Still, it comes together nicely and I found the ending to be rather sweet. A shame that Disney quickly removed this from their + service, seemingly through no fault of the film itself - it merits more eyes on it. It could鈥檝e shaved off about 20 minutes moving into more interesting things. It鈥檚 not a perfect script but visually it鈥檚 grand. Plus it does insert some emotional core about the labor force. And it says something about human progress moving forward rather than slowing down. The lackluster portrayals left viewers feeling confused and questioning Disney's decision to cast such individuals in pivotal roles within the film. Moreover, "Crater" suffered from a slow pace, uninteresting plot development, and subpar CGI effects. These factors combined to create a dull and unengaging movie that failed to hold the attention of its audience, leading to a sense of disappointment and disinterest. In summary, "Crater" fell short of expectations and ultimately failed to provide an enjoyable viewing experience. Then they go on to lecture us about the horrors of capitalism and wax philosophically about how transformative their little joyride was. A fine example of what the Disney corporation now stands for.
