Dalíland Reviews
This is a surprisingly excellent & serious portrait of Salvador Dali. The trailer made it look like a cartoon version of Dali and his life -- silly but distinctive mustache, and all orgies, and ego. Instead it is sensitive to the eccentricities of the man, and pays tribute to his artistic vision as he explains through dialogue delivered subtly and convincingly by Ben Kingsly. He disappears behind the mustache to become Dali as does Gaila in her wig. Wonderful portrait, and correctly set in the 60's milieu.
Loved this movie. Great producer team with Sam pressman and terrific cast. Very engaging story and production value. Must see
