This is definitely a product of it's time. I don't think most of what's going on here would be acceptable by today's audiences. That said, I still get loads of entertainment out of it, maybe it's just nostalgia controlling me, or maybe it's the movie's sense of fun, partying and teenage rebellion that keep me hooked. Whatever it is, I'll continue watching and having fun with it.

If your 14-18, you need to see this movie. The feeling of freedom, purity and rawness the characters give is special. Any lost soul, or outcast will feel like they have a home. Rock on kids!!!!

Campy and goofy, hits all the right notes and does exactly what it should. An awesome rock-buddy comedy that fulfills and ignites the rock star flame in all its die-hard viewers.

I loved it. It's fun to watch coming of age stories about groups of male friends. I love how non PC this film is and it's entertaining and fun. Almost Famous is one of my favorite films of all time and this one was great too. It's very optimistic and that is missing from today's marketing driven films.

This is one of my favorite rock 'n' roll comedies. It's the 1970's and four high school stoner buddies have their hearts set on driving to Detroit and seeing their favorite band, Kiss. It's a fairly simple concept; all the guys are likable, and they all have their own trials that they have to overcome near the third act of the movie. So even though the premise is high school kids going to see a show, this never gets boring. Also I wont spoil it here, but I always felt the ending to this movie was pretty damn brilliant. "they have to let us in, I mean... they have to!" I'm sure some would see this as a dumb comedy, but... I do see quite a bit of heart in this. It's really a flick about four friends, who set out on what should be a fairly simple thing, and chaos ensues. This movie also has a killer soundtrack; Kiss, Cheap Trick, The Sweet, Thin Lizzy, and a little AC/DC and Black Sabbath thrown in there too. Even the opening credits are worth noting for it's montage of 70's pop culture. The direction does have a offbeat style, but that is where a lot of the charm in this movie is. In the very least, if you are a fan of road trip movies, classic rock music; or let alone Kiss... then I say it's a must see.

A fantasy-tinged coming of age film that may only resonate with a certain generation. But it is a good time and it doesn't take itself to seriously.

Enjoyable, fun movie to see and I believe is best viewed during the afternoon which passed the time nicely. Music score: 10 out of 10! Comedic elements: 6.5 Story: 6.5 Overall: 7 out of 10.

An amusing love letter to the late 70's rock demi-god's "KISS" and all of the degenerate hijinks that go with the times. A kids movie for adults, and particularly for those who of the era. Much like the band itself there isn't much substance, but can definitely be a lively good time.

The music was the best part.

It's exactly what you expect, guys gets the girl and sees the rock concert. Despite being a little predictable, it's still an enjoyable movie to watch.

It's get an awesome rating because i'm a huge KISS fan. And this is a proper homage to how dedicated the KISS army are.

I went with 2 stars for this movie it was alright and passes the time. If you are a fan of Kiss and their music you will like this comedy. Silly 90's comedy movie set around high school kids in the 70's that go above and beyond to get Kiss tickets. I have not seen this movie in a while, but I have seen it a few times I would watch this movie again it was a alright movie.

For a KISS fan it's an epic movie! Very much fun, even more rock'n'roll and even more simple comedy! Some funny cameos too :)
