Doom Reviews
This movies pretty cool 😎 👍 but it is nothing like the 90’s games. Hell baron should be hell knight and the BFG is too small. For me it was just the little things but if you have never played the games, it is a fun sci fi movie. 🍿
The reviews here are criminal this movie is awesome
It's not THAAT bad though
This movie made me hate movies
I like it a lot i know it is very hated but very interesting and good sets and i am glad the rock is not the main character like in all of his movies karl cooked it
Actually a lot of fun. Characters don't do stupid things for the most part, they're just up against badass monsters. 18/34 for reviews is criminal!
There are exactly four minutes and thirty eight seconds of this film that are worth watching. Just look up "Doom movie first person scene" on YouTube, and congratulations, you've watched the good part of this film.
Dwayne the rock Johnson acts in this movie as if he is constantly P$$$$$ off at people constantly annoying him too much excessive swearing 🤬 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and obnoxious dialogue dumbs down doom into being an assault and attack to intelligence nearly the same way as the uwe boll stinker alone in the dark while it’s not quite as atrociously messy as the boll film it’s still as bad a video game adaptation as it can get just like resident evil it has poor lighting, lousy CGI effects, junky production values that make it look like it was originally supposed to come out in the late 80s and the cinematography is so disorienting that I nearly became dizzy and felt like I had a crack. I know this isn’t his fault and that the rock is generally a nice guy in real life but this was a bad start for him to move from wrestling to acting ( being an action star ) his performance is so over the top nasty and he overacts in an irritated tone almost like he knew this was going to be bad but. Did he just want money or something everyone else is chewing scenery in their generic millitary soldier roles. Even The action is also uninspired and generic I wanted to fall asleep every time they constantly sneak which this is pretty much what’s going on in the whole movie even that video game shooter scene before the final fight didn’t save it for me in the end outside of a few unintentionally hilarious moments involving the rock swearing in his overperformance this movie fell flat completely.
If you liked the original Resident Evil movies your gonna like this. Seems like A LOT of these are reviews from non gamer and non doom fans. My wife just watched it for the first time and didn't know anything about doom and she loved it. This is also back before The Rock had such strick rules like the one that says he can't ever lose a fight. Makes for a more intense and unexpecting experience. Would definitely recommend. Even from being from 2005 there is a good mix of digital and practical effects. Good gamer homage scene in there too! True gamer review would be an 8/10. One of the top critic reviews said the movie is about playing games and why would gamers want to do that SMH. Evidence these "top critic" reviews arnt very genuine.
Just pure entertaining "hell yeah!" movie. If you like the expendables movies or predator for example you are going to love this movie!
Ok so see people asking why it is marked down as poor well for me I played the original doom game back in 93 and it was always one man and his guns go to mow down some demons until you get too doom 3 where they decided to make it a squad game and this is where the film comes in the based doom film on doom3 so for me it just doesn’t work nothing against the actors huge rock fan but it’s a thumbs down for me
Don’t understand why this movie is rated so poorly.
Very weird movie and basically nothing else. Also very forgettable.
A great horror sci fi movie, but a horrible doom movie. The first person scene was amazing, and if the VFX director did the entire movie, it would have been great. Watch it.
I watched this twice only for the soundtrack and the fps Sequence the rest of the movie terrible
the "Rock"'s bad, acting's bad, CGI's bad, plot's bad, OK....
Doom (2005) is just that friend, who's only your friend because you have a computer.
You'd think a concept like Doom would be perfect for a movie. Well if this is any indication then just play the game.
The FPS scene is the only cool thing in the film. Everything else is a waste of time.
Deserved to be rotten.
