A strong start to the series and can see why many more came afterwards. Love Sean Connery, the most perfecting casting and easily up there in the list of best James Bond films. Pretty simple plot and ridiculous costumes at the end make it.

Bond, James Bond... One of the most famous lines of all time. Here we are introduced to what would continue to be one of the biggest franchises out there. Dr, No sets the stage and with its suave style and even with its low budget managed to feel more than it is. Dr. No has aged a bit over the years which adds to its charm but it is still a relevant film. Sean Connery proved his ability with much doubt when this film was released- not unlike Daniel Craig but Goldfinger remains his magnum opus. Yes Dr. No is ground zero and is definitely TOP BOND.

A fantastic movie that sets up Mr. Bond with the perfect image to continue the sequel. This movie primarily focuses on building Bond’s image which makes sense given it is the first of the successful series. He is portrayed as a charming spy often overpowered while on duty by his ever lasting want/need for women. Certain aspects of the movie can be improved, some areas of it could make more sense but ultimately this movie is what got people interested in franchise. A lack of action is its biggest weakness making the movie less appealing to action lovers who are used to action in todays spy movies, such as Mission Impossible and the modern 007. However again, this movie primarily focuses on building Bond’s character. Sean Connery was an absolutely perfect fit for this role and I’d argue his best acting ever was seen in this movie. Beyond Sean Connery Ursula Andress is the greatest Bond girl in history. Overall this is one of the best movies ever in the franchises history.

A more subtle approach to the formula used in the modern day. While iteration after iteration might make a lot of things better, sometimes one should try to appreciate a version closer to its origins. 61 years later, this film is definitely one of those cases.

I loved seeing it in 1963. But being old enough to have more of an analytical approach to viewing it, I was disappointed in the acting and saw way too many mistakes in the logic. At the same time, the Bond pictures of the last few years are pathetic, no real plot, just something for teenage boys.

First half is very good. Second half is totally ridiculous.

The launch of the Bond franchise is kickstarted with , what is easily one of the best Bond movies and of course turned Connery into a superstar and unquestionably the Best Bond . Exotic scenes in the caribean very good filmography. This movie has aged well and is still watchable , in its day it was perhaps outstanding movie.

Classic Bond are just great. Despite being over 60 years old it still holds up!.

While not as good as other Bond films definitely top 10 Bond. 8.7/10.

Awkward, poorly planned, rinky settings

Kickstarting the 007 franchise, Dr No has always been a film that I've found exceedingly average bordering on monotonous, however, there's no doubt the film has a great deal of style even if it's technically dated rather poorly. It has all the pace of a procedural B-movie thriller, plodding and lacking any form of energy outside of Connery, Wiseman and John Barry's theme; Terence Young's direction is nothing special, despite Ted Moore's photography being rather luscious in conjunction with Ken Adams' great set design but the writing is incredibly by-the-numbers and the less said about Monty Norman's score... the better. Ultimately, Dr No just doesn't do anything for me, as with most of Connery's outings as 007, it may have kickstarted the world's obsession with spy fiction but that's about it.

I didn't really expect much from this movie and the green screen is really bad in some scenes like the car chase. But I can't fault it because it came out 62 Years Ago. Sean Connery's James Bond is pretty unlikeable as he's always killing people and is a womaniser to the point where he's the real villain of the movie. And who is Dr.No?-All I Know is that he's some Chinese guy but I still don't know who he really is. Anyways Next to Watch is 007: From Russia With Love(1963)

Aunque la franquicia de James Bond originalmente empezó con la adaptación televisiva de Casino Róyale en la serie de televisión Climax!, Dr. No es definitivamente el primer episodio de la franquicia y la película que lanzo a Sean Connery a la fama mundial gracias a su papel como James Bond. Tratándose de una película de los años 60, no es una película que genere mucha adrenalina porque la acción es bastante suave. Pero es una película que logra entretener bastante con su fascinante historia de agente secreto. Tiene sus momentos de suspenso e intriga que mantienen los ojos pegados a la pantalla. Sean Connery introdujo de manera impecable a James Bond y ya desde su primera aparición, el personaje demuestra tener carisma para ser una figura de acción. Es alguien ágil, astuto y galán. Un personaje que se ganaría el amor del público muchos años después por su elegancia y aire de caballero inglés. Dr. No es una buena película en muchos aspectos, ya sea por ser un clásico o por dar inicio a una franquicia que acompañaría a muchas generaciones, ganándose su lugar como una de las más grandes franquicias del cine. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 9/10.
