In 15th-century Transylvania, Vlad III (Luke Evans), prince of Wallachia, is known as a just ruler. With his beloved wife, Mirena (Sarah Gadon), Vlad has brokered a prolonged period of peace and ensured that his people are protected, especially from the Ottoman Empire. However, when Sultan Mehmed II (Dominic Cooper) demands 1,000 of the country's boys, including Vlad's son, for his army, Vlad makes a deal with a monster that will enable him to defeat the Turks -- but cost him his humanity.

Dracula Untold is one of the most underrated fantasy films in recent years. In just 92 minutes, it delivers stunning action, a fresh take on Dracula鈥檚 origin, and a genuinely emotional story, with Luke Evans giving a fantastic performance as Vlad the Impaler. The battle scenes are visually breathtaking, especially when Vlad unleashes his full power. Sure, the CGI is heavy at times, but the movie never drags, never wastes a moment, and keeps you hooked from start to finish. This could have been the start of an incredible Dark Universe, and it鈥檚 a shame it didn鈥檛 get the credit鈥攐r sequel鈥攊t deserved.

This movie is fantastic and should have been the initial force behind Universal's idea of a Dark Universe. Luke Evans gives a fantastic look at the backstory and character of Dracula. The writing, acting, and special effects are superb and Dominic Cooper is a fantastic antagonist. I would have loved to have seen a sequel to this or an eventual paring in the Dark Universe with Sofia Botella's Mummy (not Tom Cruise's). However, this movie is definitely one to check out if you love Dracula's or if you just love a good movie.

Dracula, untold was a good movie. A good take on Dracula, fun. Entertaining Great special effects. I thought it was a great story. Just one of those movies that entertains you from beginning to end and really good acting. Also, so I do recommend Dracula untold very entertaining movie. The critics bash it, but I think it's really good. I must see at least once

This movie is great! Definitely can watch it more than once. If you are a fan of horror and Dracula you will definitely love this. I鈥檓 not sure what the critics are comparing it to but the average person like you and me rated it significantly higher. It keeps you interested from the start to finish. Great action and storyline. It may veer a little from traditional Dracula but I鈥檓 sure if it followed the same traditional storylines everyone would be complaining it鈥檚 just another Dracula movie.
