Dragonheart Reviews
This movie is a classic and it's heartfelt, action, humor, drama it hits and should for all those who watched it in 96-2000s
Its a classic, there's nothing else like it!
Best fantasy film that I loved watching when I was young and growing up.
Best Fantasy I've EVER seen !!! And I've seen a LOT!
A charming and nostalgic movie for all the world to enjoy old and young alike. There's a young professor Lupin in there and Sean Connery as the voice of Draco is ICONIC
This is a good movie with a good message, for a family to watch together.
It's a remarkable masterpiece
It's my favourite Scottish dragon. The dialogue delivery and heaviness, a dragon worthy sound. It's a bit weak, the villain is not enough. It's a good watch though.
Director Rob Cohen tells an epic fantasy starring Dennis Quaid, Dina Meyer, the late Sean Connery, Jason Issacs, the late Pete Postlethwaite, and David Thewlis Bowen is a disillusioned knight who befriends Draco, the last dragon of his kind Both of them decide to team up scamming villagers for money putting on a show making them believe Bowen 'slays' Draco Later he finds out Draco saved his former student Einon by taking his heart, but now that he is king Einon has become a merciless tyrant driven by power and selfishness Bowen is determined to stop his madness but will need Draco's help They must also save Kara, a peasant girl who wants Einon dead for murdering her father and is forced to be his wife Never saw it 25 years ago but I saw the trailer for the sequel all the time growing up Has one of the most memorable scores ever This feels like good old fashioned fantasy storytelling Love Connery as the dragon even if the effects are noticeable and Quaid is really good too The story is not the greatest thing ever written but it had enough elements to still work and thankfully the movie still has enough devoted fans for it to have a lasting impact
A movie of my childhood
Best voice-over performance from Sean Connery!
Despite great dragon effects, everything else can feel low budget. Like the costumes and a made for tv like production, just not CGI wise. The musical score at times feels underwhelming as well. Sean Connery as the voice of the dragon is too good to not still appreciate the movie. There’s also a heart to….Dragonheart.
Favourite childhood movie (and still is). The connection built between Bowen & Draco... tears every time! I'll always love this film!
This is and has always been my favorite movie. Every movie after this was terrible but this was a well done story with great acting and solid graphics for it time.
This movie is indeed one of Sean Connery's hidden gems.
A laughably bad movie that I ironically enjoy.
Not a flawless film, but a highly entertaining family friendly adventure. Sean Connery is perfectly cast as a dragon, and the visuals were incredible (for their time).
I saw this movie in a dollar theater and still felt ripped off. Even Sean Connery couldn't save this movie.
