Literally everyone in this movie is delivering their best. The snappy lines. Layered jokes. "Didn't even get to keep my damn tiara" This movie isn't for everybody. Bit for those it's made for. It's pure perfection!

Shallow and unconvincing mockumentary. Painfully bad at times. Maybe 3-4 times something was actually funny. Cashing in on Fargo for the "funny accents" while very poorly trying to imitate the Christopher Guest movies. Those movies create a fantasy world which is interesting, plausible and imaginative. This fails to come close. Of course the acting is often good with top level people in this, but the story, filming, timing, editing, really everything else is crammed in, derivative and annoying. The culmination of all of the failed efforts at humor: everyone starts barfing, then an innocent woman gets shot, and we assume, killed. What could be funnier? Hard to watch.

The mockumentary-style reminds me of "Best in Show," in a great way because it's premise is —fresh, unique, and wildly hilarious. Instead of the teen following a love interest, she follows her dreams. What more in a movie could you ask for? This is a classic. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's one of my favorite films of all time and the re-watchs never disappoint either.

In the background little features stand out (a "Moon Lunches" special at a diner comes to mind) that paint the fictional abode of Mount Rose as the emblem of a 90s Middle (and yet fun!) America. What this film does that others rarely do is showcase individuals that many would regard as "trashy" as uniquely empathetic and endearing creatures... Hollywood unfortunately likes to overlook the fact that trailer park inhabitants are people too! And sometimes interesting! But everybody here - especially the duo of Kirsten Dunst and her pseudo-mom, Allison Janney - contributes to the fleshing out of this forgotten truth. On top of that the Minnesotan accents are a blast.

I love this movie. It is a very mean but very funny and fun film. It's a great comedy and it is not PC in any way and does some great social commentary. Recommend 100%.
