Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald Reviews
Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald is a decent addition to J.K. Rowling’s universe. I think I still like the first one more. It’s obviously a bit of a filler film, which some people may not like, but I don’t have a problem with.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald was a disappointment. They tried to accomplish so many things and in the end, they accomplished nothing.

From the digital monotony of its visuals to the uninvolving characters, it fails to evoke much of a response.

...another ill-advised installment in what's shaping up to be a seriously disastrous series.

I loved everybody, but from a critics perspective I have to say it felt a bit unresolved... it's like it was specifically there to say, "hey we have another one coming".

Scholars of the Harry Potter saga's complicated mythology might find a lot to like about The Crimes of Grindelwald, but others will find the events of the film bewildering.

You might expect that the author of seven of the most beloved and re-read novels of our time could come up with something a little more engaging.

Although The Crimes of Grindelwald might not be the strongest entry in this franchise, it promises exciting things for the future of the Fantastic Beasts canon.

The Crimes of Grindelwald's lack of awareness goes much deeper than a mere miscasting,

It feels lazily put together, with certain revelations not making sense, really coming across as a cash-grab rather than a well-delivered sequel.

Despite its grand face, feels thin, over written and under dramatic.

Once the clerical work is out of the way and the groundwork has been laid, the story quickly finds its groove.

The entire opening is a mess of special effects, rapid cutting, and characters swooping across a blackened sky, making it impossible to decipher exactly what is going on.

Prequels are exceptionally hard to get right, but this is a slight improvement over the first one.

It leaves a little too much for the sequels, but for any Wizarding World fan, it's great to experience nostalgia through the magic of Newt Scamander's briefcase. [Full review in Spanish]

This return to the Wizarding World is unfortunately plagued by an over-convoluted plot that lacks drive and coherence, making it difficult to be truly excited about the future of this spin-off franchise.

The real meat comes in the expansion of the first film's religious fundamentalism storyline that saw Samantha Morton's wicked stepmother prey on the conflicted mind of adopted son Credence Barebone (a creepy Ezra Miller).

An overzealous need for detail just confuses the outcome into a pile of mess. This is a Bogart we hope they can stupefy in the next instalment.

Has time frozen over in the Wizarding World? Is this franchise officially nothing more than a machine to rake in cash? What happened to . . . the magic?

Not only is this a setback on the 'second Potter saga', but it also destroys much of what the previous film had done so well. [Full review in Spanish]
