Deborah Krieger Bust Magazine Beyond the brutal depiction of the toll of eating disorders, though, Feed is a powerful examination of grief, and what it means to love someone and lose them without losing oneself in the process. Aug 31, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Lizz M This movie is a moving and heart-wrenching depiction of what it means to suffer from an eating disorder and the mental health challenges that arise from grieving a very intimate loss. The experience of an eating disorder and the constant tension between knowing what you need and the strange experience of satisfaction that comes from listening to the eating disorder鈥檚 demands are personified and depicted perfectly in this film. This movie moved me to tears for my own experiences and for the many others who have battled even harder and longer than I to get well. Thank you to this entire team for creating this film 鈥 the work you did here is important and needed in a world that doesn鈥檛 understand the gravity of grief and eating disorders. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/25 Full Review Audience Member Produced and written by Troian Bellisario of 鈥楶retty Little Liars鈥 fame and based on on her real life experiences This is a personal story of hers of how grief affects someone drastically She plays Olivia, a high school student becoming valedictorian Her twin brother Matthew and her are bonded so largely But tragedy strikes when he鈥檚 killed in a car accident and Olivia spirals out of control Even to the point when she starts starving herself She also starts seeing hallucinations of her brother advising her to make certain decisions that affect her friends her bf The film touches on sensitive issues like suicide, bulimia, and mental health It鈥檚 one thing to lose someone close to us but another to lose ourselves entirely in the process It isn鈥檛 impossible though to be strong Bellisario gives a very heartbending performance as a girl trying to let go It鈥檚 not the easiest thing to do but the first step to getting better is the trickiest Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review
