Flora and Ulysses Reviews
I love this movie and I really recommend it!! ✅✅✅✅
A comic loving girl rescues a squirrel who ends up becoming a superhero in this Disney+ original movie. This film has a Disney Channel movie feel to it, with an over the top comedic villain, played by Danny Pudi. Matilda Lawler plays the lead role well. There were a few characters that didn’t translate well from the novel that could have been left out of the film. The editing seemed off as well as a few spoken lines late in the film seemed out of order. The climatic scene was a little over the top for me as well. Check this film out if it sounds interesting to you.
There’s basically no point this movie should exist. Everything from the acting to the story to the visual effects is corny and cheesy. It shouldn’t belong in the superhero genre, but should instead be placed in the relatable and humorous section of the streaming service it belongs to.
Flora and Ullysis was a awesome movie. I watched this movie kind of a long time ago, but I remember it was really good. This movie was one of my "random" Disney+ movies, so that's how I watched this movie before I read the book. Flora and Ullysis was a very interesting movie, and that means the book was very interesting to. I am reviewing only Disney+ movies today, and this is my third movie reviewing today. What a good movie.
I loved this movie. Even as an adult, I found it to be fun and wholesome. Which is nice to enjoy a good movie. Wish there were more like this.
Starts off promising, with a warm and positive feel to its fun and original idea. It unfortunately falls off on its final third where the lazy decision to force in an antagonist turns the story of self-discovery and family into any generic talking animal movie. That said, it's very enjoyable for most of its runtime.
Fun movie. Kids enjoyed it. Much better than I thought it was going to be.
It was a really pleasurable and very entertaining Disney live-action family movie. It had very well done photography, really astonishing characters, really wacky comedy, really terrific drama, really fantastic music, really captivating visual effects, really wondrous fantasy and a very great story. My favorite funniest part of the movie was when Mr. Klaus the cat attacked Miller the animal controller and it’s hilarious! I highly recommend this movie to kids and adults alike.
I don't know if a very young kid might be worried with the tranquilizer gun at the end but other than that such a quirky funny weird movie in a good way
I saw this at a screening nearby. It was fun to see the entire cast of the DuckTales. Danny Pudi and Kate MiCucci are so funny hope things continue there! On to a sequel!
This movie is a little bit of an atypical Disney film. It's not really about magic solving all your problems. It seems to be about trying to find that magic, even if your problems don't get solved. There's no fairy Godmother who swoops in. Ulysses the squirrel is incredible...but even he can't solve all their problems. I don't want to give it a way but while we are going through so much amidst a pandemic...it's nice to see something that gives us a way to see the world with a little more hope.
Such high production value in this movie. It's just what I needed to see in these bleak times. Loved the comic portions, and the easter eggs, and the zany stuff, but I really loved...Ben Shwartz. That guy is hilarious. Now I'm hurting for him to play some more sexy dads.
Such a special super hero movie, unlike your average predictable film. A quirky fun film, that's entertaining until the last minute with lovable characters. Lena Khan does a great job of keeping viewers of all ages on the edge of their seats.
Familiar and nothing else.
Flora and Ulysses successfully tells an underdog animal superhero story. The humor, action and plot lines are surprisingly well managed and told. The actors also succeed to give great emotion and humor, and the villain isn't a big baddy. He's just trying to get his glory, so you can feel to be in his shoes too. Great movie, highly recommend giving a try if you want to watch with your family!
