Capone Reviews
Ive stopped watching less than 5 movies because they were so horrible in my life, maybe even less than 3 and this is one of them. This is seriously one of the worst, if not the worst movie I've ever seen. Well that I've seen half of, couldn't get through more than an hour. Amd i love Tom Hardy, but not in this.
There's a good reason why nobody made a movie about Capone's last year. It was boring as hell, and in that respect this movie was true to actual events. Especially compared to his prior, infamous exploits. Who wants to watch an old, demented man slowly die? If you do, go volunteer 2 hours at your local Dementia facility. At least you'll feel good about how your time was spent. The pressure to churn out content is generating about what you'd expect
Not terrible, and I can appreciate what this movie was trying to do. Tom Hardy kills it. But I ended up turning it off halfway because I realized nothing was really happening. In a different mood maybe I could have ridden it out.
Personally loved the film. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone portray a dying man with neurosyphilis this well. I grew up around nursing homes and I’ve seen a lot of people come and go I’ve experienced a lot of death and Tom Harry’s portrayal of this deserved best actor. Honestly had no idea he had these kinds acting chops
While a sad and dramatic biopic about Capone's last days, Tom Hardy solidifies himself as one of the great character actors of our time. For great performances and a fairly deep psychological biopic, this is a film to watch. Hardy's performance as Al Capone is worth it alone. It's not a typical violent mob movie but more so a look into the struggles of Capone and his family as his neuro-syphilis catches up to him.
El Sucko…all over the place…had to shut of off halfway through
For a complicated subject initially intrigues over the filmic coverage, there's a mixture in the faltering approach when keeping up unconventionality. Unexpectedly nuanced that only delivers reverence in the mental condition, simultaneously affecting the structure whilst questionably boosted by Hardy's challenging embodiment under minimized, subpar treatment towards the actual matter being insignificantly overdone. (C+)
Tom Hardy does what he can with a story and character that holds much potential, everything else just doesn't work.
Even the incomparable Tom Hardy couldn't save this movie. Could have been a great film but the script was terrible. Couldn't watch to the end it was so bad.
Embarrassing. Director thinks he is Scorsese. He is not. Not even Tom H can rescue a poorly directed rubbish script.
This movie really needed to be a documentary because no one wants to see an old man dying of an stds and hallucinating his violet acts of his past. In no way was this entertaining or necessary.
Honestly, I don't know why this movie has received such a low rating. I thought Tom Hardy was superb, and couldn't take my eyes off his perforamance - worth watching for his performance alone. I think that people who liked the dream sequences in The Sopranos will like this. It's whacky for sure, but I enjoyed it.
Jesucristo, esta pelicula fue mala. Es Tom Hardy con mal maquillaje haciendo caca en los pantalones.
Usually, Tom Hardy nails his parts but for me not in this film. I tried to get into the story but found it boring and very fragmented. Can't win em all!
Absolutely disgusting. bad make up to age Tom Hardy and all the scat and urine stuff was disgusting. What kind of sick mind thinks people want to see this filth? Watching this is a humiliation ritual. avoid at all costs.
This should have been called "Retired Capone". Don't expect a genuine gangster movie. Tom Hardy plays an aged dilapidated version of the notorious crime boss. It's a decent senior-citizen drama that deals with the personal aftermath of Al Capone's legacy, yet it drags more than intrigues
