What to Know

Critics Consensus

Generally absorbing from moment to moment despite uneven pacing and a rather convoluted mystery, Force of Nature: The Dry 2 should satisfy fans of the first installment while setting up the third.

Claudia Puig FilmWeek (LAist) Sadly, the movie is a little too dry, too. May 15, 2024 Full Review Vikram Murthi IndieWire Force of Nature generates just enough mystery never to be boring, but not enough interest to elevate it above its modest trappings. Rated: B- May 10, 2024 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com The film is well-made and well-acted, but it merely suggests depth rather than actually having it. Rated: 2/4 May 10, 2024 Full Review Sebastian Zavala Kahn Me gusta el cine It's a slightly inferior film to its predecessor, but it's still a lot of fun to watch, and it works very well on both an intellectual and emotional level. I wouldn't mind seeing more films starring Eric Bana's Aaron Falk. [Full review in Spanish]. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 1, 2025 Full Review Isabella Liistro Loud and Clear Reviews Force of Nature: The Dry 2 is an inferior follow-up to The Dry but still delivers a somewhat engrossing mystery and an impressive sense of place. BG0411 Boring, hard to follow, Australian accents made it difficult to understand. I go the movies to relax, not to figure out a puzzle with lots of pieces missing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review John O Spoilers: I watched this because of Anna Torv. Other than that, I was lost in the woods, like the movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/25 Full Review Ron L I like BGM, environment settings and the picture of the nature in Victoria. However, the storyline is just about some kind of desperate housewives arguing for stupid minor things that shouldn't have happened when a group entered life threatening situation. If the plot was more about deep secret in a slow burn pace, it would have brough the whole story to next level. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/21/25 Full Review Audience Member I liked it. A lot. I thought this was pretty good all round. These guys obviously worked on the relationships before filming, it was v professional. Quality cast. Fantastically well rounded characters, it was so good. The storyline was okay, hundreds not but the touch too long one on one conversations, at a goes some setting up the sun texts it even the actual plot, but the photography great, the sound effects/lighting really well done. Furness so tidy in her actions, subtle nuances that I really liked (except for the ‘are we, Alice?’ bit which you will understand once you’ve been introduced beforehand to the Alice stuff/situation, Roxburgh and Bana just s good. The Aussie casualness of these characters was so enjoyable. Well done. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/06/25 Full Review Ian S Firstly it's wet and rainy the whole time and gloomy and not even dry. Nothing happens really there's no motive and they're not far into the bush really and run into NOT ANOTHER PERSON. Acting not strong from the younger cast members. I think the murder victim was bored to death. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/25 Full Review Jon E Awful boring film about annoying shouty Australian women falling over in a forest. Kept waiting for it to start. Avoid. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review Read all reviews
