Romcom in need of being remade but with a better ending The fact that the film ended w/ Ben marryin' the girl like Bridget who cheated on him w/ her ex really pisses me off! He shoulda married Sarah, not her! They had more and better chemistry he and Bridget will even have! Ben shoulda found out about Bridget's cheating and left her to be w/ Sarah! I wish whoever wrote this movie knew what they were doing during its production.

Beyond awful. The script is horrendous, and there are so many unnecessary scenes or scenes that take too long to end. They make a lot of "marriage is awful" jokes (at least 10) and usually pair them with a sex joke. None of them are funny, and are basically just iterations of the same thing. Ben Affleck's acting is so, so bad and his character is dull. In real life, nobody would fall in love with that man, he has the personality of wood chips, and yet somehow he got 2 women to be in love with him. Him and Sarah (Sandra's character) have zero chemistry, but at least Sandra's acting is good. Speaking of her character, if you love a manic pixie dream girl, then she's the one for you. Zero redeeming qualities for this movie.

Underrated! A very unique romcom /adventure story. Yeah some of the lines are cheese but the soundtrack, humor, thrilling story, values regarding marital anxieties etc., make for probably my favorite "chik-flik".

Affleck proving yet again he has the charisma of a used paper towel. Unmatched for Bullock's charm and the film attempts to be artsy and hip in directional style which distracts from the sub-standard writing.

Its cute and surprisingly the ending works for me.

Predictable film that has been made a few times before and been made funnier and better. On holiday when I watched it. Saw the cast listing and thought it would be worth watching. Shame for such a good cast. Wonder if they thought, oh dear what have I got into. Half way through making this. Also some very cringeworthy comedy moments in this film. Maybe the pay was good.

Absolutley enjoying and funny movie. One of my favorite romantic comedies. Sandra is amazing as always. Ben is .. Well. Ben. But Sandra is so amazing you can barely notice Ben... And Maura is awsome too. My favorite scene is when her ex sings "against all odds". Very funny scene.

At first I thought this was going to be a guilty pleasure, if I liked it. But I actually really like it, I think it's very unique, and I think it subverted the typical storyline/story line it had very well.

A charming romantic comedy with two of Hollywood's biggest stars. Bullock and Affleck don't really have good chemistry together but they play their roles well enough to make me watch it till the end.

Sandra Bullock and Ben Affleck co-star in Forces of Nature. Affleck is Ben Holmes and he is on the verge of being married. He needs to travel to Savannah Georgia to get married and gets on board a flight to head down there. A terrible accident causes the plane to derail and is unable to take off. He meets in the process Sarah Lewis (Bullock) and the two rent a car to drive down. The two have quite the chemistry as they begin flirting with each other. The film then turns out to be like a planes, trains and automobiles like scenario, where every mode of transportation they seem to take has some kind of issue that keeps delaying their trip to Savannah. With each mishap, the two continue to connect. Holmes begins to doubt if he should marry his fiancé Bridget (Maura Tierney). He learns more about Sarah who is twice married and even has a son, but he still feels for her. As the title and all the occurrences that happen to them suggest, the forces of nature seem bound to have these two get together. Forces of Nature is one of the weaker romantic comedies. Bullock does her best to be this earthy, connectable and sexy force, but Affleck in contrast is all too wooden. The events that keep happening to the two get old and wear thin. It was surprising that the two do not wind up together, and Affleck and his real fiancé do get married. This may have been one of the cases where I feel him ending up with Bullock would have been a better, although cliché ending. Steve Zahn is Affleck's best friend in the film, but is not in it much, and a third character would have given the film a bit more a firm ground in case the audience grows weary of the main couple. Forces of Nature has its moments, but I was ready for this one to be over. -3.19.2017

There are actually a lot of interesting moments in here and the chemistry between the leads makes the ride somewhat pleasant but the filmmaking... there are not enough words to describe how indigestible it is.

Bad editing. Okay writing. Decent acting. But it courageously strayed away from a cliche ending. That's what drove it up from 2 stars to 3 for me.

Sweet rom com , with Ben Affleck and Sandra Bullock when they were young and cute. One of the things I like about this flick, is that (spoiler alert) the two stars don't end up together, as they would have in any other movie of this type, instead of the love of the soon-to-be-marrieds coming through the test.
