Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online Directed by first time feature filmmaker Joshua Sanchez, Four is an intimate look at four characters... who are all on the brink of determining who they are. Rated: C Sep 6, 2017 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com Four goes believable places but avoids the trappings of traditional melodrama. Rated: 3.5/5.0 Sep 18, 2013 Full Review Sam Weisberg Village Voice [It] never achieves its intended weightiness. Sep 13, 2013 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com The film manages to create a brooding atmosphere that slowly tightens its grip, sloughing off familiar tropes concerning race and sexuality and hitting enough subtle notes to become more intense the more quiet it becomes. Aug 28, 2019 Full Review Kam Williams AALBC.com A cautionary tale featuring spectacular Fourth of July fireworks of the emotional variety. Rated: 3/4 Sep 11, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Kinda felt like a stage play or a certain type of Indie film that you don't see much anymore. Interesting, even though it doesn't feel completely "true". Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Technically well made small indie, but unfortunately there's no plot to tell, to keep the audience interested in the characters. Two couples meet the first time, and that's it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting examination of relationships, both gay and straight, on one night, FOUR is an insightful film about choices and regrets. Admittedly, the story between Cohen-Pierce is much stronger than the latter and their scenes pack far more of an emotional punch, but the film is still strong as a whole. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Goes to believable places but avoids the trappings of traditional melodrama.
