Unfriend Reviews
It has some cool visuals but overall the story just doesn't make much sense. And that ending... ugh. The motivations were non existent and the characters were all pretty flat.
I've seen many bad reviews for this. This movie is more interesting than many that get big reviews like today like, Longlegs .RT is a mess like everything in the world now. Getting paid to give good reviews for bad movies.
With the New Movie Long Legs as a comparison I give this a 5/5 better than Long legs. The jump scares were eh, the movie was shot terribly, the plot was horrible. But it was STILL better than Long Legs.
I thought this movie was some of the worst, horrific, blasphemous cinema I've ever seen. I hated every part of it. The writers have disrespected me personally by casting William Moseley and then not only killing his character. But killing him In a way that no one else died. They've disrespected me by keeping Kobe alive until the end. And having him serve an unnecessarily stupid purpose. Which was to stab Tyler in the throat with the knife I was suspicious of the whole time. They have ruined my day. Ruined my childhood. #RipTyler #FuckYou #DoBetter
I don't know what's happening to Hollywood since series have started.
This is a very scary movie.I looked away at times to avoid seeing some of the scary moments fully. For a movie that I had never heard of until I recorded it on my DVR recently and with no actors in it that I've ever seen or heard of,I think it was pretty good.I wasnt expecting this to be a demonic type of movie.I expected it to be about a serial killer killing the students or something like that.
In the horror movie Friend Request, if the popular girl who took pity on Marina had not lied and remained loyal, would they have been able to break the curse? Possible sequel? I know the movie has 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, and I understand, but I think it has many great elements to it as well. The art and premise are good.
Alycia Debnam-Carey does well as the lead but that's about it. The plot was pretty bland and it tried for every cheap scare you could imagine. Plus, most of the characters are incredibly stupid.
Not a great movie. Acting was actually quite good in my opinion by leading actress Alecia Debnam-Carey but the plot wasn’t great and left me with more questions than answers. Though there was some creepy moments and jump scares, the pacing made me bored about halfway through.
A serviceable horror film with characters with no personality (except for the 2 cops who steal every scene they are in. The bland characters and vague "rules" as to the villain undermine the creepy visuals. The two most interesting things about this movie are the fact that it was originally called "Error Unknown" and then switched to "Unfriend". They then had to call it "Friend Request" because of the american movie series "Unfriended"...ironically there are no less than two other unrelated films called "Friend Request". It was also shot in Cape Town, South Africa but is set in California. (1 1/2 out of 5 stars)
Honestly, one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It was all completely nonsensical. Like, none of the other kids realized she was hacked? They believed she was somehow supernaturally killing her friends, recording it, and then getting off on it by posting it online? And really? The police, dean, etc couldn't just get access to her acc and change the pw to prove she wasn't behind it? And all her friends turning on her? For what? Being nice to a quiet girl with no friends, instead of bullying her like they did?! And then the ending. Absolutely moronic. I've never given a horror movie a negative review before, even when they're bad. But this is an exception. Holy hell, what an awful movie
This movie made no sense whatsoever. There weren't any conclusions. Why was Laura targeted? It was like the writers couldn't figure out which direction so someone said, "What about witchcraft?" And went with that.
Worst movie I've ever seen in my life, I don't even give reviews EVER. But in this case I immediately got on my phone and created a rotten tomatoes account just to leave this review.
The movie lacked creativity upon visuality and the entire movie felt rushed. These two negatives about ‘Friend Request' make it so bad of a horror movie that it's almost hilarious to watch. Although quite terrifying, I will give it that one upside.
Not as bad as I expected, quite enjoyed the story, was creepy and interesting enough to keep me engaged. The cast is surprisingly good and feel committed and real. Given how many bad horror movies are out there this one was a nice one to catch up with leading into Halloween
Meh. Not awful. Dragged on a bit long and the end was a bit unsatisfying and predictable.
