After Dick Harper (Jim Carrey) loses his job at Globodyne in an Enron-esque collapse, he and his wife, Jane (T茅a Leoni), turn to crime in order to handle the massive debt they now face. Two intelligent people, Dick and Jane actually get pretty good at robbing people and even enjoy it -- but they have second thoughts when they're reminded that crime can hurt innocent people. When the couple hears that Globodyne boss Jack McCallister (Alec Baldwin) actually swindled the company, they plot revenge.

I just love this movie. I watch it every 2 years or so and love it each time. Jim Carey and Tea Leoni are excellent in this and have such great on screen chemistry. You feel for the characters and also have a good laugh along the way. Really easy watching movie.

I enjoyed the movie the first time but on a recent rewatch years later I think it's fantastic. The chemistry between Jim and Tea is infectious. Her laugh while Jim is trying to rob stores, live rent free in my head. I'm confused by the hate in some of the reviewers takes. This is a fun ride with enjoyable characters regardless of how it might stack up against the original. I think it stands on its own. and is worth the watch 4/5.

Given the overall negative response to this movie, and having seen the original many years ago, I was wondering if this movie was as bad as the reviews suggest. Having seen it, I think not. Jim Carrey is excellent in the lead role, although I do think that his character is more Jim Carrey than Dick Harper. I was not familiar with T茅a Leoni before this movie, but I felt that she portrayed Jane Harper in a really good and consistent way. The comedy elements are mainly visual and slapstick with only a little in the way of dialogue adding to the laughs. There are some inconsistencies and plot holes with the story that don't really cause too much hindrance to a viewer who wants purely to engage with the comedy elements. The story ends on a nice touch. I enjoyed this, and at 90 minutes it is not too overdone.

One of the funniest movies I've ever seen! Why rotten tomatoes gives this such a low rating is beyond me, I think rotten reviews would be more accurate! You will get many laughs from this film, Jim Carey and Tea Leoni are brilliant together and will have you watching this movie again and again!
