The first half hour of over the top stereotypes did it for me…this movie is just terrible.

Given that this was supposed to be based on a hip hop lifestyle in the Hamptons, it was a little lacking in bling. The leads have all done better work on other projects. A poor reworking of the Great Gatsby.

I wouldn't call this a "retelling of the classic novel..." it's more like a raping instead. I honestly don't even think it is worth rating it is SOOOO BAD!!! They've really hacked the classic and turned it into a Ghetto Fabulous TRAGEDY....FO SHO!!!

Very different! Not what I was exspecting, but good none the less. The love seen was amazing.

It's an ugly affair overall, but at least you can say you've never seen such beautiful shirts.

Yes folks, this is a Hip Hop version of "The Great Gatsby." This wasn't great, but above mediocre, and therefore very good. It took me a real long time to see this, but it was well worth the wait. Great soundtrack with music by Bill Conti (of Rocky fame). Much better ending for G than Gatsby as well cuz the bitch got what she had coming, don't fuck wit a dude's feelings twice!

you know what could make this movie a bit better? if they didn't show us the ending from start.
