Garfield: The Movie Reviews
The movie adaptation of Garfield seems to have missed some of the humor and charm that come from the original comics.
absolutely love this movie. its an all time favorite in this house!
I simply can't recommend this AT ALL, everything just went wrong in this movie, from the CGI to the premise of the movie. Only reason I'm giving this a one star is because that the sequel is much much more worse and even more unneeded, also the cast isn't the worst but it's not saying much. Avoid this movie if you love Garfield and Bill Murray.
This is one of the best Garfield movies. Recommended
The finest form of cinema we as humans have ever curated. Garfield lives inside of us and it’s important and necessary that we all embrace such divine power. Thank you to the creators of such fine work for opening my eyes.
This movie itself can be enjoyable and entertaining for some. It has many problems for being an adaptation of the work of Jim Davis. First of all, there are the physiques of the characters. They don't look like those in the original comics. Especially Nermal and Arlene. These 2 are very different from the original version, another problem is Garfield, since he is less serious and more infantilized, when in the comics he is represented as someone who hates Mondays, he annoys Hate and jon, and take naps. The script also has problems, in itself. Despite being based on "Here Comes Garfield", it has too many changes that almost make it not faithful to the original version, in itself it is not bad but it is not good either.
Good kids film tbh. Highground (dont fucking hate me for this)
are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet is this movie over yet is this movie over yet is this movie over yet is this movie over yet is this movie over yet
Really awful except for Jennifer Love Hewitt’s boobs. Also interesting to see Matt Hancock’s acting debut. There’s the thinnest of all plots, cringe jokes and painful viewing, thankfully not too long. It’s not good at all but might be ok for really young kids. Watched on DVD.
i love garfield yippee
didnt say "g money"?! (impossible)
Filme bacana, garfield muito engraçado e ótimo protagonista
I really liked the movie after the first watching. Great humor and music selection, but I don't like the animation. If Garfield was already made as a CGI character, the other animal characters should have been as well, because Odie, Nermal and Arlene don't look like themselves at all. I also liked the second part, but less.
lasangana? Christ party?
20 years later this is the death of cinema and looking back I kinda feel bad for bill murray (as Garfield), he deserves better! Dont get me wrong I love bill murray, he’s got so much talent but i’ll give it this bill Murray was great as the titular character (it’s already wasted with bad and unfunny writing here and there) but at least he regretted doing it because of a writer he mistakened for (it’s Joel Cohen with an “h” Not Joel Coen).
Way better then the Garfield movie , that has Chris Pratt playing Garfield . 9 yr old me loved this movie and I still do ☝️
This movie is very far from bad.
None of my three kids liked it (10, 8, & 6), and my husband and I liked it even less. The only part we liked was the beginning.
The target market must have been the writers and voice actors who made the movie. One can only hope that they enjoyed amusing themselves. It's too wordy for kids, too ridiculous for adults/parents.
Pretty decent movie, I love Bill Murray but this just isn't a movie I would think of when I think of him. 6.6/10.
