Gigi & Nate Reviews
The combination of the big heart in the story and the always strong work by Harden makes this a solid family film.

...never quite decides if it wants viewers to be inspired, angry, or both.

Hamm and Hudgins utilize the final 20 minutes quite well by tossing in two thoroughly unpredictable twists. “Gigi & Nate” won’t change the world, but it will give (most of) you the warm and fuzzies. Sometimes that’s all you need to take away from a movie.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Oct 4, 2022
Monkey cuteness faces limitations, and filmmakers could easily eliminate much of the story’s attention to things like plane flights. Though aiming for a message of hope, the film often wallows in mundane detail, slowing its pace and softening its goal.

While it’s modestly heartwarming, “Gigi & Nate” is a well-meaning tale undone by a bland style and warmed-over dialogue.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Sep 10, 2022
The courtroom drama completely undoes the whole thing. It's just completely contrived.

The first half is decent until the film ends up with a storytelling monkey on its back that it simply can't shake.
| Original Score: 5/10 | Sep 8, 2022
If the adorable capuchin monkey in Gigi & Nate could speak a human language, she would say, 'Get me out of this embarrassing movie.' The monkey is the best thing about this overly sappy, tedious, and predictable melodrama.

If you're a fan of Hallmark films, you've found your film.

While director Nick Hamm deserves credit for making a movie about the issues surrounding the use of service animals, Gigi & Nate is both worthy of celebration and thoroughly unmemorable.
| Original Score: 2/4 | Sep 7, 2022
It has a pleasant but not particularly striking look; endearing performances from a familiar cast of esteemed veterans and earnest newcomers, and a storyline designed to provide a few initial chuckles.
| Original Score: 3/4 | Sep 2, 2022
Any inspiration or uplift in this true-life tribute to the bond between humans and their service animals is compromised by heavy-handed sentimentality.
| Sep 2, 2022
Gigi & Nate has admirable traits but strays into sappy melodrama with a contrived third act. A poorly written antagonist derails the narrative with heartless and overblown machinations.
| Original Score: 2.5/5 | Sep 2, 2022
Unfortunately, the final stretch of the movie becomes a riff on God’s Not Dead, though PETA, er, “AFAB,” becomes its cartoon courtroom villain instead of liberal academia.
| Sep 2, 2022
The clunky storytelling doesn’t exactly help things. The movie tends to skimp on details, often bypassing opportunities for some good character building.

Is it love or love or peanut butter that keeps them together?

The cast sell the story without making it sweet or precious … both GIGI & NATE make mistakes in their relationship, which made their bonding more intuitive. It relied on a lot of 온라인카지노추천 movie type conflicts, but in the end it’s a perfect family film. Low why?
| Original Score: 4/5 | Sep 2, 2022
Disability-focused story is more drama than monkey business.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Sep 1, 2022
The heavy-handedness of this film, which might have been an ingratiating means of introducing audiences to the ethical issues,...makes it more irritating than enlightening.

I like the story and relationship between our two stars but the conflict that threatens their existence seems forced and just plain nasty.
