Heretic Reviews
A chilling horror flick that keeps you on the edge if your seat.
Gripping, unsettling, and committed hard to the bit of having this uncomfortable discussion that no one ever wants to have. Not sure the payoff is worth it in the end, but the dialogue and the suspenseful journey to get there is worth experiencing.
Hugh Grant and Sophie Thatcher.
It's kind of boring. The storyline moves too slow
Great performance by Grant.
Solid acting on all accounts, definitely a suspenseful thriller than horror and not at all scary. This is a movie of the mind, and it's well made. You'll be missing out if you pass on it.
I love Hugh Grant and seeing him as a villain is amazing.
Amazing soundtrack, solid plot, some “funny” moments but intense and incredible scenery, captivating dialogue with some huzz included
The exploration of religious doctrine and what It actually means in this movie is great. It forces you to look inside at what religion actually is. this movie is very creepy and the acting is fantastic.
Don’t watch if you’re super religious I love hard conversations that were brought up in this theme.
The action bag was great but very low budget film. This was very slow moving and the extremely 45 minute conversation in the living room was monotone making it difficult to keep interested. I would not recommend.
Lots of chatter til the end. So-so to me.
who is this movie even for
very religious-based, lost my interest. not for me
this movie will be another one of those things that make you go hmmm...
I wasn't as big of a fan as others were. It's a lot of talking and trying to set things up with little payout in the end I felt.
Every time you think you know what is happening youre hit with another twist. Really interesting and the acting is insanely good.
Well done. Great lead actresses with the Sisters. Fun to watch. Not The Exorcist but not bad either.
I really liked this movie. Being a member of the same church as the missionaries I was curious how it would go. I think it’s interesting that some people might be “swayed” by his arguments or that people might already believe those things about religion but honestly I have no problem with what his character brings up lol, doesn’t effect my personal beliefs at all. Some are things I’ve previously considered and overcome, others I know exactly how I would rebuttal. The actors were incredible. Sure how he lives day to day might not quite make logical sense, but I think the implications of all those women and what he intended to do to the missionaries was pretty clear on my second watch through. Good stuff
great acting and a great psychological movie
