Love me a historical biography movie that has no real history and no real biography. As a pure piece of fiction it's okay, a bit boring. I'd probably give it a dead even rating if it wasn't marketing itself as a true story of a real person when it's just a made up story.

Took me a couple of rides to truly appreciate it. But now I love it! Viggo is fantastic in this film and the horses are beautiful!

Solid acting and a visually beautiful movie. Magnificent horses! Family friendly.

From beautiful settings, to cinematography, to plot, to actors, this movie is an emotional and inspiring adventure, even if it’s not completely accurate or if it has incredibly slow pacing.

I love the cinematography and the interpretation is decent even though it's not quite what really happened. But I like Viggo and Omar in this and as a movie it's entertaining despite whatever drawbacks it has.

The film was good fun to watch in spite of all imperfections.

This film is ok. Its supposed to be based on a true story but its obviously hard to know how, if at all, accurate it is. Its pretty typical for an American film of this type - the down and out, underdog who comes out fighting. I thought it was pretty cheesy. I liked the various shots of characters/contestants silhouettes against the colourful desert sunset. Its watchable and mildly interesting but I wouldn't say it its anything special as such. The performances are ok but no more. I wouldn't go out of your way to see it as such, no.

Boring. Difficulty to get interested. Too long. Too many subtitles. I was waiting for it to get better but it didn't. Time wasted. Beautiful scenery though.

Fun adventure movie. Old school with modern production values. A must for horse lovers.

An amazing movie that takes you on a diverse, surreal adventure. Very underrated as movies go - not sure why it got such criticism. It could be the "Rescue Princess from the Bad Guy" portion...that was cheesy. It will always remain on my play list.

Howdy, pretty enjoyable wild-wild east adventure in the Arabian desert, provide a different perspective to our modern world; especially seeing Mustang running in the wild sands. 1 thing stands the test of time, whiskey ever out of style or fans. It's all about putting up a good show compares to reality & survival, guess what didn't kill you makes you stronger

I know the critics were rough on this film, but I absolutely love it. The mixture of old west meets sword and sandal movie really work for me. That it’s based on a real life character adds a lot of meaning. Is it cheesy in places? yes. But is it highly entertaining and inspiring? Absolutely.

There is a lot to like. And at the end you are on the edge of your seat rooting for Hidalgo. What a film!
