Honeymoon Reviews
That’s gonna be a tough one to tell friends and family when they ask how the honeymoon went
Even 10 years later it’s really a disturbing, psychologically unnerving film about holy matrimony and how it starts to fall apart the cast is unknown but this couple couldn't be happier after just getting married and spending a quiet weekend at the lake in the woods unfortunately, things start to get strange when Bea goes into the woods one night and ends up with strange corrosions on her thighs her husband Paul is desperate to find an answer of what happened this movie makes you flinch once you see the reveal of the trauma caused but thankfully this sort-of-low-budget flick uses dark shadows, bright lights, and thoughts that go back and forth was it a stranger? a monster? an alien? or a ghost? it's very sad seeing this couple go at each other's throats deciding what's the bigger concern another rare gem of a horror movie that doesn't have to get by using cheap scare tactics and big special effects the mind is a scary place when you start to doubt who your significant other is and why they are that way with it being just the two of them things spiral out of control in their relationship a creepy crawler of a movie
Don't waste your time. It was awful. I'd rather go to the dentist.
Not a terrible film by any means, but too much setup and not enough payoff equals a rather unsatisfying experience.
Acting was awkward and amateur, accents were awful. Dialogue was cheesy and unrealistic. Plot was dragged out and frustrating.
A movie that left me a lasting impression and ultimately left me wanting more at the end of the day.
It's not a bad movie but starts getting annoying in the middle.
Great acting but the movie itself wasn't so good.
Weird things happen with no explanation. Blair Witch is better. Couple is on honeymoon in a forest cabin. Go to last 10 minutes. That's the movie you get with no story and two actors.
The acting was good. The suspense was good. The ending was terrible though. It gave no real description of who, what and why? That was frustrating.
Very slow. Good storyline but still meaningless in playing it out. If you want to doze off with a movie, here you go.
I saw this while looking into Rose Leslie from Game of Thrones fame and wondered whether or not this was worth my time. I got to say that it was a very interesting story. A young newlywed couple makes themselves a honeymoon at a lakeside retreat, only to discover strange happenings at night that eventually lead to problems. The young wife ends up sleepwalking and in the following days ends up losing track of time as well as her memories with her spouse as gets agitated. What follows is a horrific conclusion. I got to say I came to see Rose Leslie and I was more than satisfied with her acting as well as Harry Treadaway as the young husband. This wasn't a bad horror story, but it wasn't the greatest.
A história de um casal no meio da floresta..você já viu isso antes. Um desfecho diferentinho, mas no final das contas não assusta nem é tão bom assim...nhé
Seven years before writing and directing the charming Fear Street trilogy, Leigh Janiak proved that she knows how to build an atmosphere of tension (something that "Bug", for example, didn't manage to, and that movie was directed by William Friedkin, the same guy who made "The Exorcist"). I like suggestive horror, I really do, "Lamb" was my favourite film of 2021, but it has to be done well. The cool atmosphere is ruined by the cast: Rose Leslie and Harry Treadaway start as a cute couple, but they become easily dull because her performance is just okay and his character is almost nothing more than an addicted-to-sex Pierre Gasly doppelgänger; a good husband, concerned about his wife, but with no personality. She also has no personality at all, they're a generic couple with a cute love story. What will maintain the spectator watching the movie until the end is its original story, I must recognize that the script is good, and a scene in the third act that's pretty disgusting and almost made me close my eyes. Briefly, what I can say is the same thing that I said about "My First Summer" and "Antiviral": there's a fantastic film somewhere inside "Honeymoon", and it's a shame that Janiak was too inexperienced to reach it.
What an atrociously mediocre little movie. Student work funded by daddy's money and jammed out into the real world where people realized how bad it was. Truly no fault of the actors…that should be made clear. I get that actors need work and they take what they can get most times… but this whole thing was a glorified Twilight Zone sketch stretched out into 90 minutes that started nowhere and ended nowhere. And to be frank, there isn't a single episode of Twilight Zone as bad as this movie. An offense to all the senses.
It spares lots of screentime for build up, but thanks to committed act, and creativity in directing. This couple's disturbing honeymoon will be something you never forget.
It wasn't too bad. The plot combined various sub-genres of horror and tried to cook up a unique cocktail. While one cannot say that it is boring, it is not very memorable either.
Creepy and enjoyable. Nothing to write home about.
