Horrible Bosses 2 Reviews

If you laugh once during the 108-minute runtime, that will have been more than this critic.

| Original Score: 1/4 | Jul 16, 2022

There are more laughs on the average job application than in this workplace "comedy." It's misogyny masquerading as humour, with unlikeable characters and an inane premise that diminishes in interest as the running time increases.

| Original Score: 1/5 | Feb 2, 2021

The layered, long-winded conversations this time around are recited in such an interruptive routine that jokes are regularly lost in noise.

| Original Score: 6/10 | Dec 4, 2020

Although this can stand on it's own...I strongly recommend that anyone who hasn't seen the first one.

| Original Score: 7.5/10 | Nov 20, 2020

A far better film when it emphasizes the absurdity of it all.

| Original Score: 3.0/4.0 | Sep 11, 2020

Overall, it's a well-made, decently funny movie that is exactly as good as it had any potential to be.

These characters are just a bunch of criminals who still think they're nice guys. But with this much star power on display, they should at least be funny criminals.

The action-packed climax is genuinely thrilling and hilarious.

| Original Score: 3/5 | May 30, 2019

Horrible Bosses 2 falls firmly into the latter camp; unable to capture the humor of its predecessor.

| Feb 26, 2019

Fortunately for fans of the original, the comedic chemistry of the three leads still clicks.

Horrible Bosses 2 suffers in part because it's not organized as a riff on anything in particular, and partly because a notable portion of its humor is based on racism, sexism and homophobia.

| Original Score: C+ | Jan 8, 2019

In the absolutely most bare minimum, barely adequate way, this movie delivers.

| Original Score: 5/10 | Dec 11, 2018

There are things to enjoy about this movie, but it's nothing more than a lateral move by all parties involved.

| Original Score: C | Dec 8, 2018

I did laugh a few times, but I equally found myself smacking my forehead in annoyance of how stupid these characters were sometimes.

| Original Score: 4.5/10 | Nov 1, 2018

Horrible Bosses 2 is by no means an atrocity, but it's tired and unexceptional, which is perhaps worse.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Aug 13, 2018

Horrible Bosses 2 is morons on parade.

| Original Score: 1/4 | Feb 16, 2018

... does not have the wit that one would expect from a great comedy, but neither is it an empty proposal. [Full review in Spanish]

| Original Score: 6.5/10 | Dec 14, 2017

What can I say, the chaotic camaraderie between the three leads is so infectiously fun, I could watch them stumble through attempted crime all day.

| Original Score: 4/5 | Dec 2, 2017

All in all, a decent collection of laughs.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Nov 11, 2017

The plot is vague because the audience for a sequel presumably just wants to see more of sex-addict dentist Jennifer Aniston talking dirty (check), Jamie Foxx upending gangsta clichs (check), and the three stars doing a cross-talking routine.
