Rick Hong Film Threat With moments of high tension and nail-biting suspense, iHostage is not only an exhilarating watch but also a demonstration of filmmaking that resonates with viewers. Rated: 7.5/10 Apr 21, 2025 Full Review John Serba Decider Don’t judge it by its lame title – iHostage is a rock-solid thriller made all the more stronger by its dramatic plausibility. Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com iHostage's biggest sin is that it's dull and boring and has nothing of note that leaves us interested in any way. Billy A It was OK. Kept me watching until the end. Only character I was interested in was the hostage taker...with a bit of interest in the hostage and the negotiator. Mad that this was a true story that must have been super tense for all involved. The tension kind of works at points, but overall it is kind of flat. Enough to keep interest until the end though. Feels rubbish writing a semi negative review on this just because it must have been a horrendous experience for everyone involved in the real situation. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Nzinga J This was a total waste of time. Who the hell wrote this stupid movie. I'm pissed! I can't get back that hour of my life. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Audience Member More excitement in a random hour of Law & Order than in this entire episode. It had an interesting setup, but the execution completely flopped. Things really start circling the drain when the villain storms into an Apple Store with a machine gun-70 people inside, and somehow he walks out with just one hostage. He yells "Everyone on the floor!" and instead of dropping, they all just bolt out like it's a fire drill. They tease extra tension with a foursome hiding in a closet and 40 people upstairs... but none of them are ever actually in danger. Zero suspense. No stakes. So many missed chances to create tension or drama. Just a total letdown. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Monsieur M A remarkable achievement - making a real life dramatic event so dull. In truth there wasn't much to the real events, a sad stand off in the apple store. Watch a 5 minute youtube video covering the event and you'll be more entertained. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Dante D This movie should’ve been a 15 sec TikTok video. I don’t even have TikTok. Waste of time and very painful to watch, brain concussion guaranteed. Acting : 0% Music : 0% Movie slop : 0% Direction : 1% for the participation. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Ranico B Don't recommend...this is such a dull movie and a waste of brain cells Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Read all reviews
