In a Violent Nature Reviews
This movie is straight to the point. It is brutal and entertaining horror done right.
This film offers a unique perspective by following the killer’s journey, providing a meditative and unsettling experience. The slow pacing and minimal dialogue allow the tension to build organically, leading to moments of shocking violence that are all the more impactful. It’s a bold experiment that challenges traditional horror narratives, resulting in a film that’s both thought-provoking and deeply disturbing.
Yeah, PASS! I definitely got my steps in watching the monster walk for about 33 miles. The movie had some gore, but lacks everything else. Save your time.
So I wish I could give this movie 5 stars. I really dig this genre of following the killer and the quiet scenes even of him just walking. I watched this in an almost empty theater and just some of the serene woods shots and the killer just walking were really cool and made it so unique. There were some pretty crazy kills as well. Overall, there just wasn't quite enough action and the storyline isn't too exciting. Ending was ehh. But I think this is worth a watch and I hope they build off of this type of horror film. So overall I enjoyed it and am optimistic about the genre going forward!!
Nice take on the genre, some questionable acting, some clunky dialogue, a few gnarly kills, but somewhat under developed. The, ahem, execution left a lot to be desired but a few tweaks and this would have been a better film. There's literally no music and that choice didn't work in its favor because music in horror is generally very important, especially with so little dialogue. It would have helped with tension building, which the long cuts of the killer stalking his victims and skulking around the woods seemingly meant to produce, but it was a questionable move. Even the sound that was used: the sound of the woods, the killers movements, people talking seemed largely under utilized with a few exceptions. Hopefully the directors next project improves because it shows promise.
Terrible film. Slow. No music. Barely any dialogue. No story. 25 minutes of walking around followed by gratuitous gore, then repeat. Just not a good movie.
This is garbage. Slow and has zero plot.
The Kills and scenery was amazing but it was just the killer walking through 80% of the movie
Honestly a great movie to watch i loved every part except when he's walking towards the auguring rangers there were random cuts made it look hideous and less ominous in my opinion besides that great to watch
Desastrosa.
Imagine a neo-slasher art house version of Friday the 13th, but with no soundtrack, and you get to spend 30 minutes of the movie walking a couple of feet behind Jason as he walks from kill to kill. That’s this. The end. Ope, this one’s done, let’s walk to the next one. Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. Something interesting or impossibly boring. Then walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. It’s like watching somebody playing an MMORPG where they have to go to a different town but don’t have a mount yet. “Dude, can you at least run?” “I don’t wanna waste all my energy!” “*sigh*” Decent effects, but nothing can make up for the boredom and monotony.
Good concept, boring execution. It was as if they ran out of money and just ended the film out of nowhere.
Could have been worse, but unfortunately it could have been much better too. The ending scene dragged on far, FAR too long.
It’s called Friday the 13th. If you were in high school in the 80s you’d know this story is old just more gore. Do better
In no way a crowd pleaser by any measure - slow, brutal, low on dialog and plot - but what a gem for the initiated. Just a nice, almost therapeutic walk in the woods with your favorite hack-N-slaher
This is one of the strangest horror experiences I've had in a while-in a good way. At first it feels like a regular slasher, but then you realize the whole thing is from the killer's perspective. We're not following the victims; we're just walking silently through the forest with this unstoppable monster, watching him hunt. It's like Friday the 13th meets Terrence Malick. There's barely any dialogue, barely any score, and yet it's completely hypnotic. The pacing is super slow, but it kind of works because it builds this weird sense of dread and inevitability. And when the kills happen? They're brutal. Like, some of the nastiest practical effects I've seen in years. It won't be for everyone-if you're expecting a fast-paced slasher with lots of screaming teens, this is not that. But if you're open to something different, In a Violent Nature is a really unique take on the genre. Quiet, creepy, and surprisingly effective.
É um filme feito para poucos, onde mostra o amor do diretor pelo gênero, criando assim uma experiência diferente comparado com outros trabalhos do gênero slasher
I watched this as part of an early screening and was not sure that 20 minutes in the film had even started! Slow, tedious and while trying to bring back the slasher concept, hearing the killer breathing heavily and walking slowly for what felt like hours was not worth the watch.
It was a bit boring. Even though i liked the concept and I enjoyed some of the killings because every character was incredibly annoying, but some special fx were bad and the acting wasn’t great.
Una verdadera porquería de película. El director de encefalograma plano, se limitaba filmar a un aborto de persona masacrando sin mas a cualquiera que se le ponga por delante. En resumen una película lamentable y mi consejo es huir del cine donde se proyecte🥶👎
