Inspector Gadget Reviews
A terrible movie that never should've been made. Tim Treakle
This movie could be good and a Little bit more attached to the original show, but at least they add the why Inspector Gadget is bionic.
Great classic I used to enjoy back in the day.
To be reviewed sooner than later
Incredibly cheesy and meant for the younger generation.
Based off of the 1983 animated television series and starring Matthew Broderick as Inspector Gadget, this movie is a mixed bag. There are a few jokes that landed for me, but most of the comedy didn’t land and a few scenes got me to roll my eyes. I am a fan of the original cartoon series and this doesn’t really follow much of what that had going for it. The basic premise was that Gadget is an incompetent inspector, his dog Brain keeps him alive during investigations and his niece Penny actually solves each case, but makes it look like Gadget does. This movie doesn’t follow that basic premise, instead creating an origin story. The villain, Dr. Claw, never revealed his face in the cartoon, but here he has a prominent role and is played way too over the top by Rupert Everett. The CGI wasn’t that good and the sound effects were dumb. A young child might like this movie, but I can’t recommend it to anyone.
Not a bad movie but not that good. It's not an easy task to adapt but it has its moments.
No where as good as the original cartoon series and Matthew Broderick wasn't the right actor for the part of gadget but still some funny moments.
This movie is peak brainrot. It looks like the 99.9% of the budget was spent on cartoony, goofy special effects that make what was left of my brain cells fry, and literally no substance is found in this movie other than acting that I could stretch and sugar-coat and say was alright, but I don't feel like it.
El humor es malo los efectos son espantosos los personajes son olvidables es unos peores live action que a hechos Disney es un 1.8 de 10
I watched this movie in the year of our Lord 2023, and frankly, it's bad. Just don't.
Matthew Broderick is great as Inspector Gadget but the biggest issues is why they're after the robotic human foot lol when I remember as a kid is weird then years after I love feet and that human foot is smooth and slim
Great classic Disney movie ever made.
brown bricks........
A movie running faster than the camera crew and cast can keep up, filled with silly gadgets, many characters and random events sorta inspire by the original cartoon. While it's fun as a kid as an adult it's something else, Mathew brodrick is a decent gadget and penny and brain are fine the only cast member to remember is Rupert Holmes as claw. I like it simply because I saw it as a kid, now it's nostalgia not good film making.
I'm not seeing this movie because I heard the there's a police at the movie by the way it's fresh So you have noticed this movie was pg on 1999 so……? How🤔🤪 I think it's fresh
I wanted to see with my friends a goofy ass movie which reaches the "so bad that it's good" level, like Sharknado, but it turns out, dullness embodies this piece of shit.
Whenever I hear people talk about this movie, I often hear them complain that it's not anything like the show was. I never grew up with the show so I think that helps me appreciate this movie more. I think it also helps that I see this as an origin story more than a episode of the tv series. And while I do find the transition scenes to be a bit much, I still overall enjoy this movie. Is it perfect, no but then again what movie is.
Disney really should have released the film when it was in it's first test screening format.
