Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com “It Feeds” ultimately looks like a handsome genre exercise that was confidently realized with clarity and exactitude. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 18, 2025 Full Review Christian Toto HollywoodInToto.com Ashley Greene heads sturdy genre tale of clairvoyant's worst nightmare. Rated: 3/4 Apr 22, 2025 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film With impressive effects work which blends the practical and the computer-enhanced, It Feeds generates a lot of fear from fairly simple ideas. Rated: 4/5 Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Alan Zilberman Spectrum Culture All the elements are in place, including the performances, although the whole is less than the sum of its parts. How could it be greater than the sum of its parts? That’s the difference between a great artist and a competent craftsman. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Matt Donato Daily Dead Archibald taps into this bizarre Inception-esque, Insidious Lite brand of thrills that's a little too reliant on jump scares, but still effective as "Trauma Horror" with an edge. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 19, 2025 Full Review Nick Bythrow Screen Rant It Feeds subverts expectations of supernatural horror stories to deliver a powerful yet frightening tale about trauma and the scars it can leave. Audience Member Actors in this movie were perfect. Different story than I expected , great ending. Loved it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Richard Y Quite an original story but it doesn't explain how the monster came into being, possibly a prequel might be in store if this one sells. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Dan I A breath of fresh air for someone who has been consuming horror a lot this past year. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/23/25 Full Review tm11999 M another hour and a half of girls slowly walking with a lantern or a flashlight looking for a monster......or their car keys. all this time and all they had to do was stab it? searching the bowels of the nostromo with the hanging chains and slimey stuff waiting for a jump scare is fine, but not a good movie make. i'll give it an OK for a great calm final ENDING. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review prawnda s it's not too bad, but pales in comparison to some other recent horror films with similar themes of possession or malevolent entities. creature design is alright, really was not anything original or memorable. the family themes are kind of a cop out, since i think most people came for the monster. the ending may have had some decent visuals, but it made no sense (why does she suddenly become goth???) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review Audience Member Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore Borrowing elements from Insidious, Boogeyman, It Follows, and the Smile movies this revolves around pure evil that follows its victim anywhere it goes Greene plays a mother, Cynthia a clairvoyant therapist She specializes in entering people’s minds confronting their fears A young girl arrives at her home begging for her help claiming that a dark malevolent entity is attached to her It makes her see horrific things Cynthia must confront her own personal demons when she encounters this evil entity as well as protect her daughter But she’s very resilient to help this stranger since the last town she was in everyone ostracized her because of her methods That’s the thing about something not human as it feeds off the victim’s psychosis and twists their fear Greene is really excellent in this, there’s a continuing sense of dread, a chockful of decent frights, and I actually like the world this entity inhabits Director Chad Archibald knows this kind of film for what it is and he doesn’t waste too much time pulling us into the terror being this is trauma that festers the mind based horror Its all about the scars we leave but how to face them A pretty worthy psychological horror movie that is at times touching too which gives a nice leeway to many stories that are similar Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Read all reviews
