Kids vs. Aliens Reviews

Dec 1, 2023

Nice low budget production. Don't take it too serious. It has speed and is fun.

There are two sets of villains. First, the older kids, who bully the younger kids and the older sister who allows it because she wants the bullies to accept her. Then there's the aliens! There is a lot of swearing for a kids movie, kinda reminiscent of ET. The main kid got potty mouth but it's hilarious. The main bully could have been a slasher villain in his own right but unfortunately he ran in to some bad aliens before he could terrorize the town. The older sister is kinda like a copy of the older sister from Terrifier 2, she dons a superheroine costume and has a sword that seems to give her superhero powers. The ending is kinda like the Alf finale where the alien task force shows up and rounds up everyone. Stick around for the after credits, they throw in a little bonus.

Don't movies usually have a target audience in mind? The story is childish and could only appeal to the very young or very simple minded, but the dialogue is foul and the action is gory and obviously inappropriate for children. Several of the child actors do give creditable performances. Phoebe Rex is particularly good, but honestly! Who is this movie made for?

well; it's not great, haha. it's a low-budget film & i cringed through most of it, but i watched the whole thing. there are good things about it - i just wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it.

I was impressed with this movie. There is wrestling, there is aliens and there is a great cast of young people. It doesn't have a huge budget, but the kids, or the fucking awesome heroes, do an amazing job fighting the aliens. It was original, and I would love to see more movies from the actors and the group that made it. With the awesome ending, there will be more movies in the future for this great group of young actors.

Aside from the insufferable character that is Billy and the shallow plot, Kids VS Aliens is a perfect movie to throw on for some Friday night fun with friends.

Overall, with strong horror and sci-fi elements jammed together, Kids vs. Aliens carries a strong concept with a few great moments and ideas. The leading performance from Phoebe Rex was a major highlight, along with the film's retro vibes and use of lighting and visuals. Sadly, this is one of those horror films with strong ideas and fantastic concepts, but the results are either uninteresting or baffling. With a short runtime, the story and its characters all struggle to create excitement and engagement from the audience. The dialogue of most characters is also challenging to accept, and it feels unnatural. While the musical score is somewhat pleasing, the instrumental music felt like it never stopped playing in the background, which I found exhausting.

MOVIE REVIEW Kids vs. Aliens – Genre: Horror, Sci-Fi Year Released: 2022, 2023 Streaming on Shudder Runtime: 1h 15m Director(s): Jason Eisener Writer(s): Jason Eisener, John Davies Cast: Dominic Mariche, Phoebe Rex, Calem MacDonald Where To Watch: Streaming on Shudder April 14, 2023 RAVING REVIEW: My biggest issue is that the movie KIDS VS. ALIENS doesn't know what it wants to be. It's just odd in a way I'm finding hard to describe; on the one hand, it feels like a kid's movie (at least one I would have tried to watch when I was younger) even though it's 온라인카지노추천-MA and not a kid's movie. At the same time, it's just different in an unsettlingly intentional way. It feels almost like the 2006 movie ZOOM meets SIGNS, meets THE GOONIES, meets AMERICAN PIE, meets BRIDE TO TERABITHIA, meets a B horror movie. Even after sitting on it for a day, I still can't figure it out, and I don't think that's bad. If you're curious, dive into this home video-inspired universe in KIDS VS. ALIENS, where a group of spirited kids, led by siblings Gary (Dominic Mariche) and Samantha (Phoebe Rex,) must stand together to combat some unexpected invaders during a Halloween weekend. This fast-paced journey offers an entertaining experience, capturing the essence of a nostalgic but modern feel. The director Jason Eisener, with his love of aliens, gore, and professional wrestling, crafts this monster movie with a mix that will keep you trying to figure it out from the start, but as mentioned above, I'm still lost a day later. The movie's vibrant colors, elaborate costumes, and acting—allow viewers to overlook some of the more B-movie feeling aspects of the film. The film doesn't shy away from "gore" or profanity, which keeps it out of reach of the younger audiences. However, the young cast's performances and the director's commitment to bringing his vision to life make this film tick. KIDS VS. ALIENS finds its roots in the short film SLUMBER PARTY ALIEN ABDUCTION from the horror anthology V/H/S/2. The film's relatively unknown cast injects a sense of a real-world vibe into the film. The main cast feels like kids you might know, which is the feeling needed for a movie like this. The film focuses on middle and high-school-aged kids and puts a fresh spin on the classic alien invasion plot. Another B-movie element is the look of the aliens, they are the definition of stereotypical aliens, which would generally take me out of a movie, but for some odd reason, it worked here. I still have to rank this up with one of the most thought-provoking films I've seen this year. It kept me trying to find something to compare it to the entire time I watched and still trying to piece together my feelings about it is challenging. In conclusion, if you look at the poster or stills from KIDS VS. ALIENS and think for a moment that you should check it out, don't question yourself and just watch it. This is one of those films that leave some people falling in love and others not liking it. Either way, I think it's an experience not to be missed. A group of kids filming a movie and having the times of their life during Halloween season sounds like a fun thing to watch. Now to that add a alien invasion in the middle of a teenager's party and it turns into battle to survival with some enjoyable moments. The most remarkable part of this film is the cast, they delivered an excellent and fun performance that leaves you wanting to see more of them. This comes as a surprise since both the story and script are messy and lack of coherence proving even more the talent of the young cast. The level of gore and practical effects is the expected for an indie b horror movie like this but works. The neon colors and costumes combined with the good acting can make you forget about the awful characters like Billy, the Dad, the Mom and flat story. This is the type of horror film that you would watch when you want to have a good time without having to think much.

Give this director whatever they need to make the sequel. Funny as hell, fun effects and exactly the kind of great cast you need to pull off this idea off.
