Honestly the worst movie I’ve ever seen. This movie honestly is a disgrace to the avatar franchise they mispronounce many names and things they call aang ong and sokka is now sowka and if you like the avatar fear not because the ovitar is here it seems like M. Night Shaymalan read the Wikipedia of avatar and based this movie of of it. There is just lore dump after lore dump. Kitara literally just serves a purpose of spilling out plot synopsis throughout the entire movie. For some reason also they decided to change how fire benders work they decided to make them need a flame source to use their abilities which in the show they just use their inner chi so it makes the fire nation very less intimidating because all they really have to do is put out flames to stop them. Also the acting is very flat the only actor I can give kudos to is the actor of zuko he is the only one who gives at least a tiddlywink of effort in his role. Also the actor of sowka sounds like he’s on the brink of crying in every line he says with also does not sound like sokka because he is a witty character in the show this sokka sound so serious for actually no reason and the worst sin This movie commits is being actually so bad at the end of the movie the earth benders literally do a whole synchronized performance to move one pebble and in one scene the water tribe they visit when being attacked they line up and the man screams and they just like jiggle their weapons around like their all having brain aneurisms But yeah this movie his poorly directed and just awful casting and it’s just so disappointing that this was the movie we got to such a phenomenal show

MasterPiece of cinema

I was never a fan of anime but I knew it was good. Well this movie sucks.

Horrible live action version, stick with the animated series. Oh and Manoj Nelliyattu "M. Night" Shyamalan sucks.

it's crap

Even if you haven't seen a single episode of the show, you will still be disappointed by this film. The visual effects were just absolute CGI overkill, the performances of everyone in the cast were unforgivably bad - don't even get me started on the obvious whitewashing - and you know you're watching a poorly-made action-adventure when even the action sequences fail to excite. M. Night Shyamalan made some great films, like "The Sixth Sense" and "Signs", but he also made a lot of duds, like "Lady in the Water" and "The Happening". This film is firmly in the latter category, and it's easily his worst effort to date. Thank goodness the two planned sequels were cancelled.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é ruim, o filme tem cenas de muito fracas com personagens fracos, mas isso não melhora o filme, a história sobre o avatar e seus amigos é fraca, o elenco é muito fraco, e também não ajudam em porra nenhuma o filme, um dos piores filmes do m. night shyamalan, e de 2010.

Worst Shyamalan movie of all times! I showed it to my boyfriend after all this time and he told me that I was not exaggerating with my review. If -10 stars would be possible, I would give them. The only good things about it were costumes and some landscapes. How is it possible, that the actors were that emotionless? They themselves had no fun making this movie and one can see it.

Not sure how everyone got this wrong. It’s basically just like the series up to the northern water tribe section but condensed down into one film. It’s beautiful visually, the costume work is great, the sets are very decent. I think people didn’t like it just because he made the fire nation indian and they didn’t like the ang casting but guess what ang is a goofy cartoon character you can’t have a person be 100% that. It would have been truly great to have a trilogy film set.

This movie is HORRIBLE!!! It is nothing like the original show, which, mind you, IS THE SOURCE MATERIAL!!! Everything in this movie is terrible, the acting, the fact the every single bender does every Jackie Chan movie in existence to move a single rock?! Why?! The movie doesn’t know how to pronounce there own characters names, Aang is pronunced “ong” for some reason.

ABSOLUTE TRASH ! NO ONE CAN EVER SAY THIS MOVIE WAS GOOD

I disastrous adaptation of the original classic that was already perfect. Any attempt to try and justify this movie's existence is futile due to horrible acting, a terrible plot adaptation, poor and murky special effects, and direction that completely took away any sense of joy and fun from the source material. It's an awful movie to begin with, but a massive insult to the fans.

By far the worst disappointment my generation had ever seen put to film. (And that says a lot.) The original show was and is a master class in storytelling. This movie however makes every mistake there is; clunky dialogue, terrible acting and bad/non-existent choreography make for a movie that is unenjoyable even to a casual movie goer who does not know the source material.

A very, very underrated movie. Apparently fans got mad because it wasn't faithful to the original story but that doesn't mean it's a bad movie. It's a great shame that the sequel was never made as the cast was very good and the end had me excited for it.
