Maid In Manhatten is a wonderful movie. The system won't let me give it a full 5 stars, so it's clear the reviews are weighted against Likes. Not sure how that benefits Rotten Tomatoes. But, what I do know is 'certified' critics and reviewers with no romantic bone in their body shouldn't be able to review romantic movies. Not mentioning any names though (Good Morning America, Herald Sun Australia, Outlook, and others). Too bad we can't rate their reviews.

Despite what others may say, this movie is certainly a good film. You cannot expect it to be superb, but with a good cast, good message, and a nice script, it scores as a good comedy.

I can see that Maid In Manhattan tries to have so much potential but this feels like a typical generically mediocre film trying to cash-in on the story of Cinderella where instead of magic fairies, step mother & step sisters, pumpkin carriage and mice that turn to horses or whatever all it has is just a hotel maid that falls in with a rich man that turns out to be a politician, and that's it. While this film isn't as bad compared to other movies that Jennifer Lopez starred in, but i certainly wouldn't say that this is a film i would highly recommend to anyone any time soon

Maid in Manhattan isn't one of the romantic comedy greats, but it's pleasant enough to keep you entertained for a little while. Although Ralph Fiennes' attempt at an American accent is a little distracting, at times. Jennifer Lopez is her usual self, and the supporting cast is fine. I don't dislike this movie, but it could have used some tidying up.

I decided to watch this movie on streaming after years of hearing about it. Wow, this movie was very badly miscast. There is absolutely no chemistry between the two leads, which is not helped by the rushed script. Why exactly are these two in love? They find each other attractive and they go on a walk with his dog and her son. Ok? Also, the male lead comes across as kind of creepy to be honest. He says things that would never be written in a movie today and is always chasing her around. It doesn't come across as cute or romantic. The movie's only saving grace is one interesting line about service work.

Il y a d'excellents acteurs dans Maid in Manhattan. Wayne Wang est un très bon réalisateur. L'idée même du film, par John Hughes, est plutôt sympathique, sans pour autant être très originale. Pourtant, avec tout cet étalage de talent, Maid in Manhattan ne fonctionne absolument jamais. Les dialogues sont d'une vacuité sans nom et la mise en scène se contente de mettre en image des acteurs qui n'ont aucune alchimie ensemble. Pourtant, Ralph Fiennes a un physique de comédie romantique et Jennifer Lopez a de l'expérience. Mais rien n'y fait, rien n'est crédible, rien ne sonne vrai et surtout tout est cent fois trop long. Maid in Manhattan est un rare loupé pour la filmographie de tous les gens impliqués dans le projet.

Good watch, could watch again, and can recommend. Jennifer Lopez pretty much carries this movie, despite all the great characters created to prod her further in the story, to include Bob Hoskins. He was good, not phenomenal, but I miss Bob Hoskins. The overall story is actually pretty well written, and most of the character dialogue / interaction is cute, but the working vs elite battle to bridge trope is a little heavy for a romantic comedy. And then the resolution is that Jennifer Lopez is just that hot. I hope that wasn't a spoiler for someone, because it's really not. I honestly wish we had gotten a little bit more out of the pursuit of a woman he didn't know and more action out of the bad guy, but for the stereotypical elite, "I'm going to have you fired, do you know who I am?" seems appropriate enough, right? While I do think it is worth a watch, there are a lot of other things out there to watch, just not "Gigli" or "The Wedding Planner".

One of my all time ever favourite films. Its my ' happy film ' whenever I'm having a bad day, this films picks me right up. Love it love it love it
