All the Boys Love Mandy Lane Reviews
I liked the way that the light sources featured a lot in the movie. The shakiness was just right except on some slower scenes when it was a little distracting and redundant. The washed out, high-contrast style was very pleasing on the eye. Overall I like the visual style. The film had nice sound design, especially at the start. It became a little forgettable quickly though. This story started so well with some fantastic characterisation but slowly became a rather drab teen slasher. I thought that the ending didn’t make any sense and was a bit of a disappointment. A good style and very good start but sadly not that scary and not that noticeable.
I must have different tastes to many, as I really enjoyed this film. Yes, it's your typical teen slasher movie, but there are enough twists and turns to keep it interesting even if the acting is a little hammy. The clever and violent ending adds to the overall effect.
All The Boys Love Mandy Lane may not be up there with the classics of the slasher genre, but it earns a lot of points for being original, gritty, moody and entertaining. 10/10.
Slasher b movie with amateur ish acting. But the twist at the end was unexpected that makes it decent.
A typical 2000s horror movie with bad color grading and mediocre acting. All the Boys Love Mandy Lane mirrors many popular slashers like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th, but it doesn't measure up. It could've been worse, though.
All the Boys Love Mandy Lane - R (1h 30m) 2006 - Horror, Mystery, Thriller 1/5 stars Well this boy doesn't love Mandy Lane; the entirety of this film felt like a mash-up of all early 2000 horror movies. Nothing original or shocking about it. I've seen a lot of movies in the past week so I'm not going to spend a lot of time (especially on one I disliked so much.) I really can't think of many positives here, I haven't seen a horror film this predictable in a long time. The acting was subpar at best. Some of the deaths have a little shock factor but even those were inconsistent. Maybe it's just because this is dated but I don't feel like I've gained any appreciation for having this in my collection. Unfortunately I had pretty high hopes for this one. #horror #halloween #horrormovies #art #scary #horrorfan #creepy #horrormovie #horrorart #spooky #movie #film #horrorfilm #movies #horrorcommunity #terror #horroraddict #dark #goth #s #thriller #cosplay #gore #cinema #gothic #horrorcollector #slasher #fridaythe #horrorjunkie #bhfyp
All the boys Love Mandy Lane.. And I couldn't care less. This is crap! Worst slasher in years, boring, plot makes no sense.
Well made but unoriginal, it works better than many revenge flicks.
You a fan of Amber Heard ?? You're gonna love this.
This movie is a waste of time and money. With little to No fear factor, pacing that makes this hour and a half film feel like it's never going to end, and editing that will make your head hurt. This movie sits comfortably as the worst horror movie I have ever seen.
When i saw critics say its not arthouse that means its up my alley like some throwback style slasher type films
Slightly boring, started strong and had twist at the end. Somewhat follows the path of others in the genre. If you have time to kill, then this film will help with that.
This was better than I expected. I'm not the hugest fan of "teenage" horrors bc they end up being so over the top and not scary. This one wasn't scary but it wasn't over the top. The acting wasn't that bad, the plot had a semi-ok premise, the execution could've been a lot worse, etc. So I wouldn't rec this movie but at the same time I'm not going to trash it. It's somewhere in the middle of those 2 extremes.
Really solid throwback slasher film
A failed attempt to produce a slasher movie with a surprising killer and a twist that fooled no one. The only thing leaving you scratching your head is why? And you'll never find out because this was so poorly acted and executed that there will not be a sequel. Amer Heard sure looks good though. No wonder all the boys love Mandy Lane.
It was an average teen scream. Nothing more nothing less. Tries to ride on the merits of its ending alone.
A pretty poor slasher
