Excellent action thriller. Rating: 7.6/10

J.J. Abrams’ involvement pulled the tone of the film back to the style of a traditional Hollywood spy thriller and helped establish the action style of the Mission: Impossible series. Philip Seymour Hoffman stands out as one of the few truly remarkable villains in the franchise.

This is also series that continues to get better with every installment, however no other villan in almost every other film will top Phillip Seymore Hoffman in this film, he's scary, intense and just perfectly villainous in every way, best villan and performance of the franchise and best villan period.

Mission impossible 3 is the best film in the series but many haven’t realised that yet because they are still watching the endless sequels and getting carried away by the bigger and bigger action in each film but none of the MI films have a villain as brilliant and well acted as the one in this ! Hoffman steals every scene and makes this film go from an action film to a film with real substance, You believe Hoffman is a desperate man who will do anything to get the rabbits foot and his performance is better than any villain in any of the films before or since it’s a master class in acting and elevates this film to the best in the series, On top of that you got a bridge battle that blows ya mind and Hunt being hunted by his own government and a helicopter getting chopped in half by a giant windmill! Plus the plane scene where he hangs Hoffman out the plane and the brilliant scene where Hoffman counts to 10 is the most dramatic and powerful in the film series, I have no doubt this film will be remembered as the best in the next 20 years once people realise that it takes more than big explosions and gun fights to make a good action film . Mission impossible 3 is the most dramatic and has the best villain and also delivers some great action in my book it’s the most well rounded of all the films and was so much better than the first two and to be honest is still better than the next lot that have forgettable villains and rely more on Tom Cruise hanging off buildings. But most these films are so similar you get them confused but you will always remember Hoffman and Mission impossible 3 .

Another MI movie that brings some really cool action, and some newly added heart. Tom Cruise continues to carry this franchise into new and exciting places. The franchise is so far consistently steady in terms of quality and remains good! Phillip Hoffman killed it as the villain. Solid B

Imo this is THE best mission impossible movie. I LOVE the first one, which is a close second. But i cant deny that having my favorite acto, the late great Philip Seymour Hoffman, as a villain makes this movie slightly better than the first one. I love this movie. It has everything you want in an action movie, just like the first one. The actors/actresses are all great. The only thing that i could say that was negative about this movie, not enough Simon Pegg. He should have been in this more. And btw, im curious. Why in the heck does Michelle Monaghan have second billing on IMDB.com?? Vine Rhames is after her?? Not cool!

Ethan é novamente convocado para salvar uma aluna de espionagem que gerenciou, o resgate é realizado, porem ela morre e agora ele volta para se vingar de Davian, mas na captura dele sua esposa morre. Jurando vingança ele consegue fugir e raptar Julia e mata-la, mas fazendo com que Ethan veja sua morte. O tempero perfeito, vingança da vingaça, quem sera mais frio. Ethan e capturado e vemos uma das melhores atuações de Cruise e Philip. Quando todo o suspense e drama se misturam quando Davian assassina Julia. Que cena !!! Mas o filme tras novas reviravolta com Ethan mais infurecido que nunca. Vai atrás de DAvian. Com sua equipe Zhen, Benji, Luther, Declan,.... E ele descobrirá que tem agente vendido. Quem será? E temos a participação de Fishburner com chefe e aparição de Pegg e que fica até o dia de hoje na equipe de Ethan. Roteiro e enredo ua obra prima J. J. Abrams. Com certeza os filmes foram se superando com Briam De Palma, John Woo. Como Tom consegue trazer diretores de peso. Realmente este é uma obra prima para os filmes de espionagem. Parabéns por esta obra. Vale apena assistir? Com Certeza. Nota: 9,5

A definite recovery from Woo's misfire, M:I-3 is a masterclass in pacing. It's fast moving but knows exactly when the audience needs to catch its breath and let things sink in. There might be some odd choices here and there, but Adams never lets the ride loose traction. Hunt becomes a real character in this one too.

Writing this in 2024, after 18 years this movie is still great to watch. Its a kind of movie where you can watch again and again

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE MARATHON: 3rd one in line would obviously be this one! After seeing this one made my heart skip a beat, the disguising is on game, Tom Cruise kills it again. The entire team made another great one!! Go Team Cruise!!!

73%. 7/7/24. Philip Seymour Hoffman is great as the antagonist. This one is about them going after Philip's character and arresting him for a short time and him threatening Tom's life when he's captured and then escaping and capturing his wife for revenge while also seeking some device that could destroy the world. This one is better than your second, pretty typical MI movie with good action. 2.5/5 rewatch.
