Good film to watch with family. The movie is a little cheesy but the true story of Freddie is moving and can inspire us all to be brave and courageous. A sweet tribute to a deserving person.

Not sure why the low scores. Inspirational true story of a hard working player with ambitions towards a full scholarship at a competitive University.. a player with a positive attitude and lead his team towards championship despite the impact of his medical issue. I love how the school continues to honor him till this day.

This was really very very enjoyable. Not a lot of stuff these days as impactful and some of these actors were very very good and on point with their characters. I guess I could go on and on, but suffice to say have not logged into Rotten Tomatoes in a few years but had to log in and chirp up and put in my two cents for this movie. Bravo!

It's a good movie, and it's a great story. Like so many others I've seen in this genre, which are almost always torn down by critics like Rotten Tomatoes, the audience always seems to get it right.

Despite the low ratings by film critics who know nothing, I loved this movie. The underdog sport hero films never get old and this is another good one to add to the collection.

This is awesome and inspiring

While the film could have used a little more three-dimensionalism, and included major facts (Freddie meeting Nixon, Nixon calling Freddie in hospital, Nixon declaring war on cancer because of Freddie), it does highlight an inspirational human.

Sappy, soft, and obvious, it seems to know nothing about edge or conflict. If I last long enough to need assisted living, I might find myself watching it in my nursing home, but for now, I'd rather hone my faculties with something more challenging.

Everyone is dragging on this movie. "Squeaky clean" and all that. This is what movies with a story are like. It's a great family movie with great actors doing a great job. It is clean and I wish we could go back to days like this where we had great family movies to watch. If you have young kids who like sports, this is a fantastic movie for a night in with the kids and a huge bowl of popcorn and soft drinks.

Why are they wearing modern football gear when it takes place in the 1960s? Eek.
