National Lampoon's Van Wilder Reviews

How this film received an R rating is beyond me. The gross factor alone is enough to warrant a new categorization by the MPAA.

All things considered, National Lampoon's Van Wilder just doesn't fit the National Lampoon brand.

The grossest, most disgusting humor imaginable.

Rude, crude, obnoxious, disgusting, and unfunny...

Strangely likable and only about half as puerile as the average M온라인카지노추천 reality series.

I know it's harder to write good jokes than it is rotten ones, but based on what's displayed here, it doesn't seem like the effort was even made.

There's one saving grace: Reynolds may look a lot like NL's Chevy Chase, but, hey, he's actually quite likeable.

...I will admit to having chuckled at an Erik Estrada cameo...

Compare it to the recent Cameron Diaz-starring disaster The Sweetest Thing and you'll reckon it deserves an Oscar.

| Original Score: 2/5 | Mar 13, 2003

...Mainly a collection of dumb sight gags, gross-out jokes, and comic sex, with a dull-as-dishwater premise and a spotty cast list.

While Van Wilder may not be the worst National Lampoon film, it's far from being this generation's Animal House.

Writers Brent Goldberg and David Wagner apparently saw no reason to bother with anything so sophisticated as, say, story or characters.

| Original Score: .5/4 | Oct 15, 2002

The film is all over the place, really. It dabbles all around, never gaining much momentum.

Ho hum. Another week, another grossout teen comedy.
