Prayers for Bobby Reviews
A child is listening Never cried more at a film.
I was totally in this movie all the way through. A very realistic depiction of family life with particularly difficult challenges. Sigourney Weaver, as always, was great!
Very informative. Made me cry
Leaving not a dry eye in the house is Sigourney Weaver's performance as a mother who came to a rude conclusion that it is her ignorance and nonacceptance that drives her gay son to suicide.
The production values are low enough here that some of the edits are startling and some of the acting is wooden, but the story is so strong as to overcome much of that. Of course, I would have been FAR less forgiving of the church for its role here than Mary Griffith was. Why do people refuse to see the evil that religion does in the world?
Trash movie that makes a mockery of being a normal person. The demeaning of humanity by makes the implication that this is not a choice, but rather a hard-coded state of being takes away from out humanity of being able to make life choices such as this is. Tripe movie. Interesting that this movie garnished a 4 star rating while war room garnished only 2.. no agenda there? Acting was poorly done and topic was low interest from the 96% of normal people in the general population. Embarassing to see Sigourney Weaver play such a role and so poorly done... Makes me rethink seeing her movies now.
I'm a crying mess. This movie managed to kill me,it ripped me apart.I'm clinically dead.It was powerful, raw and extremely accurate. The struggle felt real.It was perfect. The performances were magnificent! It surely knows what it stands for and it managed to deliver with the outmost perfection.Amazing!
I saw it, and I now I see the LGBT battle in a total different light. This empowering and masterfully acted movie brings bitterness in hearts and reflection in brains, awaking people on the atrocious consequences of a severe and heartless christian raise. Ryan Kelley plays a perfect Bobby, while Sigourney Weaver gives a virtuous portrait of the homophobic and bigot Bobby's mother, Mary Griffith. It's a movie that I highly recommend, filled with touching, beautiful and breath-taking scenes. A must-see.
¿Donde puedo encontrar la pelicula completa? Antes estaba en you tube y sospechosamente la quitaron! ¿You Tube es homofobico?
Sad and realistic journey of a christian mother and her son who kills himself because of his feelings of not being accepted because of his parents ignorance and close adherence to the bible's view on homosexuality. Needless to say this is heartbreakingly sad but an uplifting ending brought on by her own understanding of the situation and her confrontation of her own beliefs and the action she takes after,
Excellent performance by Butler. Decent and often understated performances from Weaver and Czerny. Very well done for a made-for-온라인카지노추천 movie, but somewhat underwhelming if it had been made as a general release feature film. Wonderful, thoughtful, real-life presentation of the struggles faced by everyday families with LGBT children.
Excellent film about a tough reality: ignorance and homosexuality. Standing ovation for Kelley and Weaver performances.
