Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, "Prey" is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

It does many smart things —simplification of the character's ethos, First Nations setting, the casting of Amber Midthunder as the lead— but overall it's a run-of-the-mill actioner good enough to make us wonder why it didn't get a theatrical release.

Absolutely flat and made zero sense. They made the predator seem like the dumbest thing alive. She was withing 2 feet of him like 10 times, your telling me he couldn't have killed her every time. The director is different than the others which explains a lot. Don't waste your time with this one if your into predator logic. The girl couldn't kill a rabbit then goes and kills a trained killing machine... I don't think so.

If you want to enjoy this, ignore the logic flaws! I found myself getting frustrated at times. She can't kill a rabbit with an axe but wants to risk her life and that of others to go out and kill something deadlier than a bunny? She almost gets killed twice, once by a mountain lion and second by a bear. It was through pure luck that she survived. And that gave her more confidence to go out and kill an extraterrestrial being who can hoist up a grizzly over its head? I would personally start with something smaller, like a deer, something that won't hunt me down and eat me the moment I screw up my axe-throw. Other than that, the action sequences are fun. The french fur trappers are moronic and cartoonish like characters from an Asterix & Obelix comic. All that said, the premise is intriguing, and would love to see more of the Predator franchise along this route. Great for a Friday evening popcorn movie.

Great consistency, just another male leading role somehow dominated by a female once again becoming a unmatched against All Odds against her becoming a yet another unrealistic trained Warrior of all the Arts. Played out an overrated.

I thought that Prey was a FANTASTIC movie! The language, the culture, the crazy good action. What more do you need from a Predator movie. Naru kicked ass and took names. I hope they make more fabulous Predator movies like this.

Tem que ignorar muita coisa para o filme ser mediano. E nao tem a ver com protagonista mulher. Pois tem Ripley e Sarah Connor como mulheres que amamos como protagonista. Uma indígena de menos de 1.65m e com poico mais de 60kg quebrar a mandíbula da cristura, fazer goloes ao estilo MK ou fatal fury, isso deixa vc muito triste. Ver a criatura se atrapalhando com a arma, matando franceses bem mais fortes e os HOMENS da tribo da protagonista, percebe-se a agenda incluída. Nao tem como os.dois primeiros sao os melhores. E acho AVP com aquela protagonista melhor que Prey. Pois ela mata a rainha Alien com astúcia e se alia aos predadores. Prey fica entre 4ª posição ou Quinta no máximo. Geração pipipi...bobobó não entenderão
