Adapted from American artist and writer Lauren Redniss' graphic novel Radioactive: Marie and Pierre Curie, A Tale of Love and Fallout and by Marjane Satrapi, this biography of Marie Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel prize and first person to win twice in two scientific fields, radiates with hypnotic cinematography and score from a debilitated core of storytelling.

This biographical drama is about the incredible life of Marie Sklodowska-Curie and her Nobel Prize-winning work with previously unknown radioactive elements that changed the world both in medicine and warfare. Even though the storytelling style is not the most adequate choice for this film and its historical accuracy is excessively questionable for its alterations for dramatic effect, the best thing about it is Rosamund Pike's portrayal of the Polish scientist, whom she thoroughly understands and will keep the viewer engaged. But ultimately, it feels like a disjointed film with sequences that partly and unjustly blame Mme. Curie for her discoveries.
